Would have preferred Saha and park on the bench ahead of Silvestre and Fletcher.

Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,

Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest English.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!
Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even fought
And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to war. And you, good yeoman,
Whose limbs were made in England, show us here
The mettle of your pasture; let us swear
That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;
For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'
A little touch of Ronnie in the night perhaps?

Park > Silvestre for the moment.

Furthermore he is our good luck charm.

442 with hargreaves on the right? Doubt it. Park would have been a better pick in that case.

It'll be an even narrower than normal 4-3-3 imo.

Well, it had to be someone, but it's surely most be hard for Park after starting both games against Barcelona. I guess Fergie believes he's just too lightweight to face Chelsea.

shame about Park not even on the bench, he played every minute of the 360 minutes in the quarterfinals and the semi-finals...

That's the team we'd start with all the time I reckon if we were ever in the position where we had all of the squad fit.

I hope it isn't 4-3-3, as alluded to on Sky, Rooney is nowhere near as effective on the left.

lads i am a massive park fan. love him to bits. but this is not a time for sentimentality. park is BRILLIANT against euro opposition/arsenal etc. But chelsea have TOO much power throughout the squad for park to be effective.

they also don't retain the ball AS WELL as top euro sides.

this is the right move.

Park will wholly deserve his CL medal if we win. CL is more than just the final, and park has truely played his part and hopefully feels that he fully deserves his medal if we win. Because i certainly feel that. Chin up park, you are the man.

Id imagine the exclusion of Park is down to Chelsea being a big strong physical side, Park gets knocked off the ball too easily sometimes.

We won't set up with the same 433 they do, it won't be two central midfielders with a defensive midfielder behind, we'll either have Tevez dropping off the front to mark Makalele or Scholes pushed up to do the same.

F'ckin hell Saha. I hope Fergie hasnt put you on the bench because you are injured again.
