de Gea
Rafael Ferdinand Evans Evra Valencia Carrick Scholes Nani Rooney Hernandez SUBS: Amos, Smalling, Cleverley, Giggs, Park, Berbatov, Welbeck. If all our players are back we're going to have to start leaving out big names again, which is good to see; the likes of Fabio, Jones, Anderson and Young all missing from that matchday squad, and could all perceivably have a part to play in this one. |

Given Fergie post-match comments I imagine Hernandez will start but Welbeck may move to the left or Park will come in, I don't see Young starting two in a row.
Playing Hernandez usually means 4-4-2 so I guess Scholes will come in for Giggs to partner Carrick. |

Munich is commemorated at the last home game before Feb 6th, not afterwards. They only do the minutes silence for significant year anniversaries now anyway I think, last time they did it was the 50th?

I thought it was the closest game but actually you're probably right.
About your other point, I can't remember last year, but I'm certain there was one against Portsmouth in 2010. |

Team picks itself, really.
de Gea has to start. His confidence will be higher despite conceding three at Chelsea. Rafael has been one of our best players in the last two games he played and Smalling's injury could keep him out of this for all we know anyway. Ferdinand and Evans have played a few games together on the spin, there's no reason to break up this centreback pairing now I reckon, might as well get the consistency going. Evra just plays anyway.Valencia and Carrick start. Scholes swaps in for Giggs, Nani or Park for Young. Rooney has to start and I think Hernandez deserves to start as well. Need to keep the pressure on City. Even if we can just keep it at 2 points behind until we go to Wastelands I'll be happy enough. I'd love to beat them there and nick the league by a point! |
