I'm so fucking depressed right now... FFS lads, you don't play like that in a derby, at home and on such an occasion. Every single one of them was disappointing. I just can't believe it. How can we play so bad. No urgency in our game, no concentration, no will... For the first 70 minutes we weren't bothered to go for a 50-50 challenge. Ronaldo, Giggs, Tevez, Rio, Anderson, Brown couldn't play worse... Why guys?

Only plus was Carricks first goal of the season, someone other than Tevez and Ronaldo. Buggering off to general now to forget this mess

well fergie deserve it. didn't go for a striker in jan, and now everyone can c the results, we played the 1st 3 games this season with one striker we all know that result too. It dosen't take a rocket scientist to solve the problem, but no fergie think the glass man , saha is our saviour.

TBH the club played shyte from the KO and nothing would have changed that. that's two weeks in a row the club have struggled to play football.

Sorry but that makes little difference because at the time it was 0-0. Should have had enough to beat them.

Yes it would. We are a less complete side than last season IMO.

True, this is going to bring out the haters who will go on and on about Ronaldo not showing up in big games again. He may have been a bit tired after playing the full 90 min against Italy, but he did not put on an entertaining performance as he promised.

This loss isn't solely down to our striker situation... we had enough out there to do better IMO. Anyway... see ya, off to get stoned.

Totally agree. Saha has been in and out of the side to much. We cant rely on him. In the summer he needs to fuck off because we cant have a continually injured striker who never plays at the club. We need to sign another striker because without that as you say we arent a complete side and we will struggle in games where it doesnt work from the Kick off. We ran out of ideas and without another style of striker we had no way of changing it.

fuck nerves , that's an excuses lesser sides use. the ball needs to be passed into feet and runs need to be made. that will unsettle the nerves of the other side. flat football is flat football. two shots on frame last week , about the same this. not good enough at this juncture to win the league.

Saha let the team down this season. The only way to "punish" him is to send him off to another team.

Everyone wants to spell doom and gloom and we certainly have every right to since this was quite possibly the worst of all possible losses at the worst of all possible times.

But with the worst of all possible losses at the worst of all possible times comes a large large large kick in the pants. This team has been arrogant and downright careless recently and the fact that it all came to bite them in the asses on this incredibly important day will serve as a tremendous wake-up call. As gutwrenching as this loss is, we will learn from this, and although it may be hard to see it right now after this performance, we will rise up and grow into something better than we ever were before.

Mark my words, the season is not even close to being over and to give up now would be absolutely senseless.

who'll buy him? when and if he comes back - which was supposed to be this week - it'll be another month until he's "match fit". just in time to go back on the table.

Serious, what do you think? We could have used him today and in the other matches where Rooney wasn't available but he just never gets fit for 2 matches in a row.

I liked Saha, I have defended him but now it's all over. We need a striker that can come in when we need him.

lets see we had nani and anderson starting in this huge game.. You dont think those younsters may have had some issue with nerves.

The circumstances, the players maybe trying to hard, it happens... Ask the patriots

I dont think any of our players looked at this game as a forgone conclusion and just went through the paces.

Maybe if you played a sport at a high level you might understand.

I'm wondering if Welbeck could have helped, at least Ronaldo would play wide, Tevez off someone and Welbeck would be there as an actual CF to pass him the ball.

Sorry hard to tell. We needed him today. People will complain that im having a go at him and he was even playing but thats the point. He never plays. SAF said he may become a impact player from off the bench but for what he is that really isnt good enough. He needs to leave or stay in the reserves until he proves he can stay fit. Otherwise he needs to leave. Roon was needed as well today but what if that hadnt worked. We would have needed another option.
SAF is basically banging his head against a brick wall because he was persisting with something that clearly wasnt working. But he really didnt have an option.

Yeah sorry for my hard reaction, I know it's hard to tell on the internet

Saha has mental issues too I think. We have a Belgian player with the same problems, Emile Mpenza was going to be the biggest talent Belgium had ever seen but he got injured every week and just didn't recover on a mental level. Now he's playing for the City reserves.

Said to say but Saha is going down the same road.

Disappointing result.

Who could have predicated that we will lose the game, I am shock and depressed about this result but it will be great to see Arse dropping points against Blackburn at Emirates. Come on Hughes......................

We look tired, lost, less concentrated and totally different side against Man shitty. Never mind it is every dog has his day so today it was not our day.

We have tough game coming up so we must be calm if we are United fans. in worst, our home record is gone.

Ronnie has been playing non stop footy without rest, and the result was evident today. A laboured performance by his own high standard and for all tevez's sublime skills without rooneys muscle and guile upfront we are somewhat lightweight in final 3rd. Hopefully this is a well timed kick up the arse for the squad and we'll go on run of games in both EPL & CL though i think SAF has left us vulnerable upfront and as stated many time on here we can't really count on Saha anymore.

Captain Ryan Nelsen is again ruled out by a hamstring injury, with Christopher Samba suspended as he serves the second game of his two-match ban for receiving 10 yellow cards.

Rovers will also be short of the creative talents of David Dunn and Morten Gamst Pedersen through suspension.
