Maybe its because Anderson hasn't started since the Newcastle game...

I am simply terrified of this game. Should City actually get something from this, well....

Ferguson has said that he will bring 17-year-old striker Danny Wellbeck into the squad with England striker Wayne Rooney suspended.

Ferguson added: “He will be involved in some way.

“He has the temperament to play in the game. He might start if we decide to play Ronaldo wide.”

The chances are Wellbeck will start on the bench, while Patrice Evra is also suspended.

I would have put Ronnie upfront with Tevez and Nani on the right wing but lets see how Wellbeck can do. If Fergie trusts him cant be a bad thing.

Howard Webb refereeing. Good news, best referee in the league IMO and has shown he can handle big games.

Out: Rooney, Saha, Neville, Evra, Silvestre, Pique, Foster

So my team selection is this one:
------------------------- Van Der Sar -----------------------
Brown ------- Ferdinand --------------- Vidic -------- O´Shea
---------- Scholes --------- Carrick ------- Anderson --------
------- Ronaldo ------------ Tevez ------------- Giggs ------

Bench: Kuszczak, Simpson, Hargreaves, Nani, Wellbeck

United 4
City 0

Goals: Vidic 7, Ronaldo 31, Giggs 63, Scholes 83

Agreed, he's great. BUT I won't forgive him for NOT giving Saha a free kick in the injury time against Arsenal. He gave Arsenal a free kick because Toure climbed on Saha (makes no sense), and they scored. Of course it was our own fault, poor marking, but Webb should've gived Saha the free kick.

But Webb is perfect for this occasion I think.

UNITED!

I don't think getting Webb is good news. He's from Yorkshire and is mostly biased against us.

433 with Anderson and Scholes there.

Would prefer to keep a 442/4231 shape.

-----------------VDS--------------
Brown---Ferdinand---Vidic---O'Shea
----------Scholes---Carrick---
Ronaldo-------Anderson------Giggs
---------------Tevez---------

Although starting Welback upfront with Tevez (at the expense of Anderson...cmon lads, just face facts were not playing Scholes-Anderson when Hargreaves or Carrick are fit) is fine too.

I don't get some of you, you're crying for 4-4-2 and yet you prupose 4-5-1/4-3-3 formations.

Reffering to me? Because 4231 is more of a 442 than a 433 formation, although I guess it depends on the player in 'the hole' and how much he pushes forwards.

We need two wingers, two deep centre mids and two attacking players in the centre. That's all that matter. Personally Im happy so long as Giggs is wide left. Whatever formation you play, you know what you will get from Ronaldo as he'll do his own thing. Having 3 centre mids can make the pitch clogged up, and we dont want Tevez getting isolated.

Bollocks to that I've never forgot him booking Ruud for diving when he was clearly taken down against Newcastle a couple of years back

And that was after doing nothing when Stephen Carr wrestled Cristiano to the ground when he was clean through

Is that your OFFICIAL guess?

Carrick or Anderson > Owen
