City will draw at Newcastle and we will score a goal in second minute, lead 1-0 for 87 minutes and concede in injury time. Status quo.

City will win 2-1 and then we'll beat Swansea 10-0 to go top on GD.

They City will beat QPR 16-1 and it'll all have been in vain.

Why even bother predicting line-ups? It is clear that Fergie simply rolls a die before each match to select his players and formation.

I wonder what would happen if O'Shea and Brown did actually start attacking the Sunderland goal with United?

I was actually just thinking the same, if they were to retire at the end of the season what would they have to lose? Win the club they support a title, single handedly. They would probably get subbed off instantly so they would have to make it seem like its not suspicious Would be really funny though, I imagine RAWK would be furious.

Seriously though, when was the last time we had a game in which absolutely hammering the team gives us a massive chance of winning the title? Because it does, they know that, we bet Arsenal 8-2, granted in a freak game, but why not just go all out and attack, attack, attack? That's what I'm hoping anyway, that we don't settle for a 1-0 or 2-1 like we seem to have done for a lot of games this season.

With the risk of conceding first and then go on to be frustrated the rest of the game while trying to penetrate a parked bus.

I think we'll absolutely tonk them, but it won't be enough when City win both of their games.

de Gea
Rafael Evans Ferdinand Evra
Valencia Carrick Scholes Nani
Rooney
Hernández
--
Amos; Smalling, Jones; Cleverley, Giggs, Young: Berbatov

If Evans isn't back, then Smalling to start and Pogba on the bench.

Edit: Didn't realise Welbeck was injured, fucks sake.

we usually struggle against the promoted teams and grind out 1 or 2 goals so I can't see us getting loads of goals

Swansea aren't the most compact side and they've (generally) been out of form the last couple of months or so.

Watched them against Wolves last time out and they were second best over 90 minutes.

If we approach the game with a proper, attacking mindset and we play with a bit of freedom and expression, there's goals in this game for us.

They've switched off for this season.

If this wasnt a possession team we would have more of a chance. Retaining possession enough to score a lot will be a problem.

Have you watched them of late? They really haven't been at it at all.

Wolves edged possession at The Liberty last time out.

Shipped three against Spurs, three against QPR and four against Wolves in April.

If Swansea turn up this could be tricky. They've been shit recently but their first visit to OT might just mean they're up for it. We'd have to learn to deal with them keeping the ball a lot more than the majority of visiting teams.

Important the players and the fans keep their patience and not expect a rout.

Swansea have been out of form for a good while now. The press have propagated a myth to an extent: Swanselona.

We went to the Liberty and were fairly comfortable, and I'd expect to be even more so at OT, if we focus.

They aren't a compact side at all - even at their best, they give you chances.

No Evans and Welbeck.

Fergie: "Evans is still injured. He's improving a bit but I don't think he'll make Sunday. Welbeck is out – he got injured on Monday night, but he'll hopefully be ready for Sunderland. Other than that, we're well prepared."

This is true but it's worth bearing in mind they had 77% when they played against Newcastle at home but conceded 2, had 59% against Spurs and 60% against QPR but conceded 3 and and had 55% against Wolves but conceded 4...all in the last 7 games. We should get a few.

Yeah, I'd put money on that being the team - if I was a betting man.

I checked the BBC this morning, and it said Wolves had 51% possession. That certainly fitted with my perception of the game.

I'd love to see Berbatov for this.

Think he could be the key to us posting a big score if we need to.

Aye their possession stats can be up to 10% off the figures you get on UEFA for example.

It's actually a scenario we have never seen before, if Newcastle don't get anything off City, with 2nd secure we are in a position where less than 7 goals and we concede the league.

I still have a feeling Fergie would play the percentage game and go for a safe win with the hope QPR have to play out of their skins to survive though.
