I agree with this, maybe Nani instead of Giggs, but i doesnt really matter to me.
I'm really looking forward to this match, let's hammer them.

If we drop points here, Chelsea will be more fired up when they meet the barcodes. but if we win I'm sure they will drop points at SJP.

Cause Nani started the last two matches, I go for Giggs first and Nani can make a bigger impact these days from the bench then Giggs.

Makes certainly sense.
Looking forward to seeing Anderson again.

If we drop points on saturday, Fergie should blame Sky Sports and refuse to talk to them. They moved this fucking game to a 12:45 kick off, only four days after playing Barca on tuesday night, and also having already played three hard games in six days.

seriously I don't think they give us a chance to be 100% ready for this, while Chelsea are playing Newcastle on monday(!)
Sunday for us at 1.30 or 4 would have been more fair.

I totally agree. Why do Chelsea get the extra days rest? Could it be $$$$ talking to someone?

Will you lot quit whining about the kick off time. We played a day earlier than Chelsea and we're at home against West Ham. That's plenty of time to prepare for the game.

The United team that could be used tomorrow taking into consideration of thr injuries and tiredness of the players:
Kusczak

Brown Ferdinand Pique Silvestre

Fletcher Carrick

Nani Anderson

Tevez Ronaldo

Bench - Forster, O'shea, Giggs, Park, Scholes

The defence picked itself by using the tallest available players to take care of the aerial threat of the W.Ham. Use Fletcher and Carrick as holding players
and let loose all the flair players upfront to do their stuff on the ground.
I think United will score some early goals. Let Rooney and Vidic have added rest and also VDS, Evra, Hargreaves.

Just to cheer you all up even more before this game..... I've just seen over on the BBC that the ref for tomorrow's game is none other than....

Mike Riley

Why does this worry me more than anything about this game????

Starting Lineup

-------------Van Der Sar------------
-Brown--Ferdinand--Silvestre--Evra-
-Nani---Carrick---Anderson---Giggs-
----------Ronaldo----Tevez---------

Subs
Kuszczak
O'Shea
Hargreaves
Scholes
Rooney

What about this?

Giggs came on in the 76th min and Silvestre came on in the 90th min against Barcelona. Also Silvestre is left footed and offers more experience than Pique. Anderson did not even play in mid week. So they should be more than fresh enough to start.

The bench is strong enough to change things in response the flow of the match.

Rest, "rest". Swap Nani for Giggs.

Scholes needs a rest, no?

Why would we want to put Silvestre as CB, he hasn't played there anytime this season, this is just as important as the CL final.

Park is likely to get a rest as well. He ran himself into the ground against Barcelona.

An early Saturday game after a midweek Champions League game. I thought United were always lucky with the fixtures

Some of our players looked very tired after the Barcelona game, I have no idea how their fitness levels are or how they´ve recovered from that game but Anderson will definitely start I think, as well as Giggs and Fletcher who both came on late and maybe O´shea, he hasn´t been playing a lot lately.

I´m pretty nervous for this game. Not because it´s against West Ham, despite losing 3 in a row against them we can well beat them and then some, I´m just terrified we´re gonna screw up the title race. I think this game will be a lot like the City game last season where there were a lot of tired legs. Let´s hope we can grind out a win like we did that day.

^Somehow we need to find a balance between maintaining the form players in the team and those who are a lot fresher. Either way it will be difficult to select our absolute best team after such a hard game in mid week.

Who's injured for West Ham? The ones i know of are Ljungberg, Bellamy, Dyer and Bowyer. I read that Anton Ferdinand has resumed light training and that he was doubtful. Anyone I've forgotten?

Was thinking that VDS needed a rest but we have a whole week off before Wigan so they can all rest then.
Then after Wigan it's another 10 days until Moscow so with the exception of Vidic and possibly Rooney, we should start the 1st team tomorrow and then bring in subs if they tire.

Can hardly wait until tomorrow. If we get the 3 points then all the pressures back on Chelsea.

After our game I'll be keeping an eye out for the bottom of the table clashes especially how it affects Wigan and Bolton.

Heres the team I'd play.

-------------VDS-----------
Brown - Rio - Pique - Evra
CR7 - Carrick - Scholes - Nani
-----Tevez - Rooney------

As long we we're up by 2 at HT, bring on Anderson and Hargo.

Manchester 6
West Ham 0
