Abundance of variety. Finally can see life after Murali, albeit in a completely different form.
It remains to be seen how effective he'll be after all the teams get a proper look at him, but with all that variety, he'll be extremely difficult to pick. |

Was almost like a secret weapon against India. Agreed that he does have a lot of variety but time will tell, always the case with spinners (though he's a medium pacer as well) whether or not batsman can pick them off - when a few begin to do just that, Mendis' counter will prove if he is the real deal or not.

Most of his deliveries are the straight ones. Bar Gambhir there is no one in the Indian one day line up that can play spin well or atleast as well as Indians are renown to play it.
