Aus v India v Sri Lanka ODI and T20

T20 on as we speak. Warner pulled a massive reverse pull shot for six.

Keep it up, Matty Wade. Make yourself undroppable so that waste of space called Haddin can't get another look in.

Ian Chappell then spent 10 minutes talking about how Warner was a right handed batsmen for years and years...and that while he thought it was a brilliant shot, he hated the concept of batsmen being allowed to play a shot in that manner. He though it should be illegal, and that it was completely unfair to bowlers.

10 f-ing minutes.

Tbf Ian Chappell has always hated that shot. Also ultra-retardedness that we didn't played Irfan Pathan and play Vinay Kumar instead of him.

Thought Vinay kumar was our best bowler today, so very harsh on him.

Marsh LMAO. Why the fuck is he still being picked? He's like Haddin, might as well notch his scorecard with a 0 or 1 as soon as he's picked.

Shaun Marsh must be in a bad place mentally - there was a 12 month stint where he looked like a proper international player, and one with a real future in all forms of the game. He now is auditioning for the Bangladeshi top order.

They should try to get Jadeja in the Test team IMO. Decent batter and bowler and awesome fielder.

ODI. Great running from the Hussey's. How many players can turn a certain single into 3 runs?

Oh and Kohli is a massive wanker. He'll destroy the somewhat gentleman appearance of the indian cricket team that Sehwag, Tendulka, Dravid and VVS have created.

Pick that out! what a catch!

You know what, i'll probably get slated for this, but Pontings fielding combined with his batting brings him pretty bloody close to Tendulka. It's bloody outstanding.
Some of his fielding performances can swing a game on its head as we've seen today.
One of the best fielders you will ever see.

Also starting to think Sachin sucks the life out of this Indian team. You can't go from playing like they did on Friday night, to this shower within a couple of days. Sloppy fielding, poor bowling and batting. They had 32 overs to get a good, but gettable score and they failed massively. Australia had to do that with two starts aswell!

The pressure on him to get his hundredth hundred just seems to take priority over a good Indian performance.

Amazing batting by Wade and the Hussey brothers to pull us from 2/35 after 11 overs to 5/216 after 32. McKay and Starc chipping in with four top order wickets early was crucial in making the win a comfortable one.

Jadeja absolutely lost the plot with his bowling today. Surely he'll be dropped for India's next match against Sri Lanka at the WACA?

Commadus changes thread to share his wisdom.

Jadeja is one of India's upcoming stars. With the country having over a Billion cricket worshippers just imagine the payback for the teams owners even at them figures...

He's commercial gold.

What a crock of shit, Bill Lawry is a fantastic commentator even if it's only to add colour to the team. He adds the air of excitement and buzz to the cricket, much more so than even Richie. Slater has tried to copy him but hopelessly. I agree about heals and Slats, but the rest are fine. The whole setup needs to be reworked.

I'd get rids of Slats and Heals and bring in Gilchrist and Warne. Two very good commentators in the past.

I thought the max was $2m.

The reason Channel 9 were banging on about his price was possibly due to them believing hes not worth it.

Best commentary team is Sky Sports

I only disagree with their opinion of Bill Lawry and Richie Benaud, part out of respect and part out of them actually being decent (and Bill being a Victorian). The others do get on my nerves quite a bit, for example:
  • Tony Grieg - "We have the best technology" x100 during his calls
  • Ian Healy's blind support of Brad Haddin throughout the summer, even after Matty Wade starred in the first T20 and ODI
  • Banter between Tubbs, Slats and Heals is utter tripe, and is made worse with all this Vodafone app, KFC crap.

Give me ABC commentary any day.

I think Grieg needs to spend more time with Bill. They bounce off one another so well given they're from around the same age. You go from a small age bracket, to nearly 20 years between him and Tubs and it shows.

Slater annoys the shit out of me and so does Heals. I don't understand his support of Haddin, but its bloody pathetic I agree. Utter utter shit and looks to make excuses for his rubbish keeping. I can't believe he tried to defend after he dropped that sitter off Pattinson in Sydney.

Slater's love in for Warner gives me the shits aswell. Yes he can be good batter and he's exciting, but for the love jesus, shut the fuck up about it. Billy Lawry was the perfect example of a colour commentator that played the game as it went, not focus on one sole point and stick to it for the entire game.

Chappell belongs with Greg in the dust bin. Shit commentator and has always been one. Fucked if I know why they ever kept him. Cunt of a man like his brother.

Do we even know if 100 100's is weighing down Sachin, or is just all media hype?

Could be the fact he hasn't scored a tonne in nearly a year as well. Thing is, he will always be talented, but the concentration is gone. Like right now for example. Chopped it on to his stumps off a rubbish delivery. His entire summer has been undone because he lacks the concentration to keep his innings going. Good starts, but loses it going into breaks.

It's all happening here. Sri Lanka need 6 from 2 balls. Score 12 off the last over already!

Edit: Australia win by six, Sri Lankan player holed out on the 2nd last ball.

He won it in the end.. but still his innings was utter garbage IMO. A bit like allowing 3-0 lead to slip up and then pop up to score the winner.

Strange innings by Dhoni, I ended cursing him throughout the match only for him to shut me up in the final over.

India could not have been more casual in those final ten overs seeming content to go for ones and twos. Dhoni potentially losing two runs by allowing himself to get on strike I'm sure sent Indians mental then he comes out with the six of all sixes.

Shastri and Chappel were both saying Dhoni didn't look himself and it was likely he was unwell. If that was the case you can understand the way he went about things.

He's clearly the best finisher in the game.

Shit last over from Starc. Outside of the select group, the Australian pace bowlers are poor.

Thank christ Brett Lee is back. Somebody with a set of bollocks knows how to bowl the right deliveries. Not pies at one of the best late innings players in the game.

What a bloody amazing six off his back foot. Dhoni has the fastest bat speed he doesn't even need to get to the pitch of the ball. utterly amazing shot.
