Detroit is gonna take game 6 and then they both have another one. I think even might Boston is gonna start feeling tired, good chance for Lakers to snatch at least the first two games in the finals.

Go Lakers!

The Lakers have not played as many games as Boston or Detroit, the rest could be vital in the finals.

If the Lakers win 1 of the first 2, I think they will sweep their 3 homes games which are consecutive in the Finals, 2-3-2 format.

Lakers in 6. Split in Boston, they'll take 2 of 3 in LA, and win in it game 6. Kobe will reach Jordanesque numbers this series. 35-40 ppg average and win MVP honors. Even should the Lakers lose they'll probably be in the next 3-5 finals.

Even ESPN writer and resident Boston homer, Bill Simmons, predicts the Lakers to win it.

Depends on how well Celtics cope with the speed. They have shown that they struggle against speedy athletic players, most evident in the Hawks games. They might double up on Kobe if they can't stop him 1v1 but Lakers' role players are much better than Cavs..

Lakers in 6 for a few reasons:

- KG will choke
- Ray Allen has been shit so far in the postseason
- Rajon Rondo is playing point guard and is not good enough at this stage
- Their role players are too old and not as good as the Lakers 2nd unit

- Lakers have got the best player since Jordan in his prime and in that unstoppable zone right now
- Phil Jackson
- Younger and better bench/role players

If Atlanta and Cleveland can take it to 7 because of their athleticism and speed then the Lakers should take this. IMO the only reason the Celtics took the Pistons was because they were playing half court bsketball against an injured Billups and Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace didnt step up.

I was tempted to say that as well but I will wait and see the first game at least before any outrageous predictions.

Really, the only two things that matter, just like it was with the Bulls they have the best coach and the best player in the world, who is clutch as shit. Even though they lost the FInals in 2004 to Detroit, Kobe's performance at the end of the game was certainly Jordanesque

Malone's injury totally altered that series. And GP was quite crap.
