Kwame Brown has been a total waste, this after being hand chosen as the number one player in the draft, by arguably the greatest player ever

Although there is no doubt in my mind Jordan is the best ever, I am glad I got to see his whole career, he was a special player, had he not taken a hiatus after the murder of his father to play baseball, I have no doubts that the Bulls would have beaten the Rockets each season in the Finals which would have given them 8 in a row.

Why on earth would Memphis want Kwame?

It was said on the radio yesterday that trading Gasol and acquiring the others will free up millions for Memphis this summer. But who the hell is out there worth it? And why would anyone want to live in fucking Tennessee by choice?

Nah I doubt it. Personally I think that retirement is what enable him to recharge his batteries, physically and more importantly mentally. Jordan greatest strength was his competitive nature, and if he lost that, he'll not be half the player he was. If he didn't retire at that point, he'll never win the second three peat.

The suns just gave up way too much for shaq. I think being on a contender shaq will work his ass off and get fit in time for playoffs and he could bring a championship to phoenix but giving up marion was way too much for the suns. Even if the suns win a title this year the future looks bleak for them. Colangelo would never have made that trade. Good things rap snagged him when they could.
Great trade for the lakers by the way. Gasol is gonna help them immensely.

Rumors are the Mavs were close to pulling off a Shaq trade and after the Lakers acquired Gasol, Phoenix panicked.

Probably the same players rumored in the Kidd trade a couple weeks ago, possibly involving a third team. But it's more likely Dallas was just typical media speculation due to Cuban's desire for big name players and past Shaq affection. The player Dallas needs is Jefferson - he'd complete their team.

Kidd rumor http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3223513

Would be nice to see Kidd go to Cleveland.

I'm thinking Suns probably think that Diaw could step up and take Marion place, but it's still a huge gamble given Shaq condition.

Ok... according to my diehard Mavs friend in Texas, the Mavs were going to trade Diop and a few players with expiring contracts (Stackhouse perhaps) to Miami for Shaq in what was being labaled a "salary dump" by the Heat. Phoenix got wind of this and panicked into a trade due to LAL getting Gasol. Miami gets better a deal as Marion is a quality player though he could leave in the summer. Either way is win-win for the Heat. They dump an aging, oft-injured player while freeing up salary cap space.

Also they should have a high draft pick this year with their shitty position.

Nuggets are trying to get Artest apparently, that will really help them out, would give them starters of AI(PG), Melo(SF), Camby(C), Artest(SG), and Nene/KMart(PF).

Kidd deal to Dallas seems to be getting closer.

I think this could be one of the most exciting postseasons for a long time. Lakers, Mavericks, Spurs, Celtics, Pistons, Suns all look like they could win it. You could maybe add the Cavs and Rockets to that list too.

i dont think kidd would be needed at cleveland to be honest.. lebron is not only scoring out of his ass, but he's getting a lot of assists too.

They got beat by 30 on Sunday by the Nuggets, if they want to make a run Kidd would be an excellent pickup for them

Celtic would win the East. West is a tougher call, I would say it will be either of Mavs or Lakers.

They are on a 8 game winnning streak atm. They could do some damage but their record is 32-20 and theyre in 9th place in the West. Just shows how good the West is.

It's great to see Stojakovic back in good form again, injuries almost ruined his career. The Hornets have a very good team right now.
