They are just too good atm, if they get Bynum back at all they are gonna be even better, Kobe is the best player in the NBA in my opinion, LeBron has more talent, but Kobe is a better defender and is not afraid to take the last shot, something that LeBron really never seems to do

theoretically yes bynum back would make the team very hard to beat, but I am not sure if bynum might instantly recapture his early season form (I hope he does)

i think radmanovic and odom have been sensational (especially odom)
gasol and bryant are brilliant as always but i have been very impressed with odom's revival

Bynum won't have to be an instant impact. Just his size and presence in the lane would be boost at both ends of the court. He won't be asked to be anything more than 4th option offensively which would allow him to ease back into things. Could turn out a huge bonus if he gets hot. That said, I'd be surprised if he returns before the conference finals, assuming LAL advance past Utah (or Houston), which I'd wager they will.

KG should have been suspended but the NBA is more concerned about tv ratings obviously.

Can't believe how pathetic the Nuggets are they have the 3rd and 15th best players all time in NBA scoring per game, if only they played defense, that said the Lakers are great Kobe is the best player in the game and Gasol was just the player he needed, very reminiscint of Jordan and Pippen(although neither were as good as these two by ways although Kobe will close the gap on the Jordan he will never surpass him, Kobe's in his 12th season and has never been as good as Jordan(save for a few games 81 for sure) that said Kobe Bryant is already an alltime great and his legend will go I'd like to see the Lakers win for Jackson though, he is the best coach I have seen.

That said when Jordan said he was coming back to the Bulls, it was one of th best sporting days of my life imo. I got to experience 3+ seasons of the best player ever(dont count Washington at all) and I loved the Bulls used to love the intro song they would play and always announce Jordan last, "...at guard 6'6'' from North Carolinaaaaa MICHAEL JORDAN!

Plenty of teams with great players havent won. It takes a special coach to get them playing all together and most importantly good defence.

even though the lakers were brilliant offensively against utah

the amount of offensive rebounds utah got was very worrying, a better team would have punished them

they need bynum back as a physical force or they aren't winning anything

I've wanted to see how he could build a club from ground up. That said, he took over a crap Lakers side (post Shaq) and has molded them into a potential dynasty. The Gasol acquisition makes this possible. As does the continued development of Bynum. Take Pippen out of Chicago and Jordan does not win one championship let alone six. Kobe can't do it alone either.

He's come out and stated he doesn't foresee returning to action this season. That's a bummer - I wanted to see how dominant he might be with Kobe, Gasol and Odom.

He is indeed. I still dont see them getting past Duncan and company though... they are too savvy.

Yeah I think so as well, but smell an upset Paul is the best passer I have seen since Johnson, when he dribbles it down the court he looks for the pass every single time, if it's not there he pulls it out of takes a runner which he is quite good at. I didnt see this coming when he was at Wake, man what a pickup, he is on that LeBron level in terms of an impact player and the Hornets got him at number 4. Best PG in the league, and atm that is probably the most important position in the league, although a great center like a Howard is so rare to come by he needs someone to get him the ball(that's the one problem centers have is getting the ball if they dont have a good pg who can weave through traffic and basically hand them the ball, I mean look at how good CP3 makes Tyson Chandler look, if he was playing with someone like Amare, Amare would easily lead the league in scoring, just on oopps
