Brilliant game(for excitement) not sure either defensive unit will be looking back with too much pride at their work, mind you.

Now to look forward to the beating the Giants will give my Redskins

Great game to open the season, lots of offense and 2 great QBs.

Anyone know if Sky Sports will have the Redzone option again this year? I thought it was a really cool feature allowing you to keep up to date with every game and getting to see every score.

Last I heard it will still be available on the red button. Randall Cobb, with an immediate impact. Lucky for the Packers because they are just crying out for more playmakers aren’t they. Rodgers hit nine different receivers in the game, its going to be hard to stop. Teams need at least three good corners nowadays to hold up over a full season.

Colts saying Manning is out 'awhile' after another neck surgery but he's not on the IR yet. Huge blow for the Colts, question is considering his age and numerous surgeries in recent years, how long does Peyton have left.

Someone should start a 'I've just seen Favre in Indy' rumour on twitter, he's bound to be linked with another comeback.

Ravens tearing the Steelers apart. Steelers have turned the ball over twice in the first minute of the second half. Baltimore going for it on 4th down (failing) & getting a 2-pt conversion might not please some of the Steeler players, not good sportsmanship to do that so early in the game.

Colts are useless without Peyton, 2 fumbles for Collins so far & down 34 pts.

Indeed, ha_rooney, the Steelers are getting kind of raped. 6 turnovers.

Really impressed with the Ravens performance, finished the game with 7 turnovers and a comfortable win.

Good start for the Niners leading the Seahawks 16-0. A few red zone farts by the offense but Alex Smith finally decides to take it in himself for a touchdown that will hopefully do wonders for his confidence.

So much for the new kickoff rule. What is it now? Three kickoff returns for touchdowns?

Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Braylon Edwards, Michael Crabtree on the roster and the Niners get three touchdowns:

1) Alex Smith rushing
2) Ted Ginn KO return
3) Ted Ginn punt return

I'll take it!

Jets came back from 14 down in the fourth quarter to beat the Cowboys 27-24. Blocked punt for the tying touchdown. Romo gave up a fumble at the one-yard line. When 14 up in the final quarter the Cowboys' record had been 241 wins, 1 tie and 0 defeats.

When 14 up in the final quarter the Cowboys' record had been 241 wins, 1 tie and 0 defeats. It should be noted the Cowboys lost their top three cornerbacks during the game and Dez Bryant, who owned the Jets secondary in the first half, was not the same after his injury.
Corrected.

Pats start with a win, Brady doing what comes naturally to him - throwing 517 yards in 1 game!!

Edit: that record 99.5-yard TD was brilliant. Crazy to go empty backfield in that situation.

I'm hoping manning is back as soon as possible, them getting the no.1 pick as looks possible could set them up for 10 more years. Luck at Stanford is meant to he the real deal and a guaranteed no.1 pick

What teams out there would survive the loss of a top QB? Even the Patriots coming off their 16-0 season couldn't make the playoffs without Brady the next year.

Pats had a terrific season without Brady, we went 11-5 with Cassel at QB and were extremely unlucky to miss out on the playoffs. Difference is (imo) Belichick is a great coach who managed to work things around Cassel & without Brady whereas Caldwell is not in that category.

Indy looks lost without Manning which is the most worrying thing given that Collins is a solid backup QB with plenty of experience. Maybe they should look at signing Garrard as another option?

Depends on your definition of "survive". You could argue the Niners have been doing that since they released Jeff Garcia.

They went from a record breaking offense and 16-0 to losing 5 times. Thats a lot. And I remember reading somewhere that in the 16-0 season their schedule was the third hardest going by their opponents records that season, whereas in the Cassel season it was far easier.

eagles did pretty well without kolb last yr . Flynn was great for a couple of games for the packers.

My criticism is more that the team has so many holes, the front office has done a terrible job in maintaining that team. Think about it, for 11-12 years they could have found or at least signed a competent back up... instead they have two back ups that when it becomes apparent manning isn't coming back yet, they have to then immediately sign a veteran and give them ONE week to learn the offence. It's ridiculous

easier or not, they still won 11 games, which is a VERY successful season by any measure.

WTF? Fox is showing the United/Chelsea match after their national coverage game today. Why not have shown it LIVE before the game?

Oh yeah, gotta get that NFL Sunday show in fo sho. But surely showing it LIVE would draw better ratings. Especially BEFORE NFL games are being played and televised. Sigh.

Let's see how he plays against quality teams and on the road. They've faced two fairly easy teams in rebuilding mode. He's also in the John Terry "punchable/talks ridiculous shit" category. It would have been a travesty had he won the SB with the Bears - he's worse than Dilfer ever was. He did proclaim the deadSkins would win the division and who knows.

Game is not airing on the East Coast unless you have that NFL ticket crap.

Fucking kicking game still killing them. Missing a 22 yarder? WTF?
