Silva made quick work of Irvin. Moving up in weight didn't seem to affect him too much although he didn't really have to prove it. The cut over Irvins eye was huge. Nasty.

Silva's knock-out was awesome, just felt a little disappointed that I stayed up until 5am for 30 seconds of a genius at work.

On a side note, the Johnson v Burns fight was unbelievable, couldn't believe my eyes (Johnson couldn't believe his eye), a genuine gentleman in defeat also.

COOL, THANKS!

Looked like Silvia gave up a bit early. I'm not saying he wasn't getting his ass kicked there but that choke wasn't deep or locked in. He did get rocked from the punches though.

Silva is just in a different league to everyone else out there. The "pound for pound" description gets over-used a lot in combat sports but he really is phenomenal. The speed and accuracy (and power) of his striking is frightening.

How about that KO in the last fight shown on Setanta? Kung Fu panda eat your heart out!

I couldn't believe the cut on Irvin's face.

I suspect his cheekbone ws broken judging by the expression on his face when he fell to the ground

I found one myself...

Anderson Silva is absolutely brilliant...

And Mandy Moore is quality.

Tickets just come through today for UFC 89 in Birmingham.

I think its pretty shit how the big stars of UFC dont come & fight over here, think Bisping v Leben is the headline for 89 - what a crock of shit...

Bisping vs Leben should never be a main event....

No it shouldn't. I can't see why there isn't at least one title fight on each card. Surely BJ or Nogeira are due a title defence by now.

The top fighters in the UFC do not fight half as much as they should. Bisping v Leben will be an average fight at best,

Nogueira won't fight until the end of the next TUF as he and Mir are the coaches

One fight in 12 months or whatever simply isn't enough!

I wouldn't go that far. But he is obviously the best heavyweight in the world.

Anyone watching the PPV this saturday? It should be better than the last one. Can't wait to see Lesner and Herring get it on.

Predicting another Lesnar defeat Swerny? Lesnar's got skills, just doesn't know how to use them to his advantage yet - plus I think this is a better fight for him than Mir was.

Saint Pierre is a nailed on victory for me.

I really am on the fence with Lesnar, I just think he'll make another fatal error.

Chalk it up to lack of experience. he should have started in a smaller organization to learn the ropes.

I hope I'm wrong to be honest, he's got talent (unlike Kimbo).

I'll be going for Lesner and GSP. I think Lesner has mistakes on him but Herring really hasn't got the bjj to punish him. I'd expect Herring to be a matchup that will suit Lesner down to the ground.

I am really really looking forward to Florian v Huerta. It'll be interesting to see how golden boy Huerta goes against a top contender. The winner will obviously face the winner of GSP and Fitch.

Florian and Huerta are 155.

GSP is 170.

The winner of Florian Huerta should geta shot at BJ Penn, but apparently Penn wants to move back up to 170 for a rematch with GSP.

Just read that Jenna Jameson is pregnant with Ortiz's kid - that baby will surely grow up to be the very definition of a lover or a fighter.

My mistake so. I don't know why I was thinking that. I'd love to see Penn and GSP again.
