Tiger Woods and Roge Federer are the two most superior athletes in their respective sports today. Tiger Woods is the model proffesional. As to American Football I'd rather say LaDainian Tomlinson and Tom Brady.

i dont consider golfers "athletes" in the sense of the word. no doubt they're the best in their sports, but i'm more interested in who is the most athletic. i.e speed, strength, agility, toughness, stamina.. and of course they have to be among the best in their sport.

tennis and footy will give you the fittest athletes.
ice hockey will be right up there as they will have added strength in addition to speed and stamina. |

Do you not think he is on something? I dont think its steroids but im thinking more along the lines of HGH. His recovery for the superbowl against the Pats and the ankle injury for the playoffs this year were not physically possible without help IMO.

Nope not at all, he is a great diet and is actually very disciplined, never drinks alcohol or eats anything that is bad to his health. Also usually you can tell if a person is on HGH because their facial bone structure will start to change which I havent noticed at all with TO, I honestly just think it is dedication and good genes. Even though he played great in the SuperBowl it was clear that he was nowhere near 100%, he just gave his all and really played well regardless

Some MMA guys are just beasts. Granted they don't do running like a footballer, but 5 rounds and keeping up the intesity of constant fighting is pretty huge.

i was actually thinking more team sports only. anyone follow hockey? hockey players i respect as all-out athletes. use their arms, legs, upper and lower body strength, stamina... i just don't follow it so i don't know.
and randy moss is a good shout too |

It all depends what your definition of fitness is, but outside of team sports I agree that top MMA fighters and boxers are unbelievably well conditioned. Marius Pudzianowski (World's Strongest Man) is an insanely great athlete too.
