I'm still surprised, and disappointed, that Henin's retired. She was a joy to watch.

Well yes, they are remarkably talented. But if they really wanted, they could still be dominating, but they'd rather produce fashion lines and star in music videos, it seems.

Simply turning up for the Slams isn't really the attitude to have, no matter how talented you are.

There see that fecking point Dechy won. Says everything about Ivanovic. Should have put that down the left and Dechy's backhand instead of farting about

Thats the opposite side of the Williams sister coin which you was talking about earlier. Henin was so intense and focused on the sport that she chose to cut short her career and focus on other things. The Williams sisters see their other interests e.g business as a get away from the tour life, not that I agree with that approach.

Hmm, I'd imagine it helps.

But saying that, there aren't many, if any, players in the game at the moment, that hit the ball as sweetly, and time it as well, as Ivanovic does. But, as Baz says, she needs to improve her shot selection.

I wouldn't have them near me tbh, but they turn up, they have to be played against and they grind out the results

Didn't she also suffer from burnout?

Very true, but that's their natural talent that's getting them through, just think how good they'd be if they actually out 100% in week in week out. Personally, I just don't agree with how they do it.

Yeah she did but thats the same as the sisters when they had the same focus and media attention on them from early. Maybe, they needed to take a step back from the sport to avoid that kind of thing, who knows.

It any of the sisters did a whole season they would be world No 1 and would be in with a good chance of the Grand Slam

here is a thing to do, watch Ivanovic and try and guess her shot before she does it. About 80% of the time you will get it right. Far too open, far too reliant on her forehand and a cross court back hand (which is probably the best shot she has)

Exactly. And that's my point, if you have the talent, why not utilise it to the maximum potential, and be the best you can possibly be?

Maybe it's just me, I don't know, but I don't like to see wasted talent. I feel that if you are lucky enough to be so naturally talented, you owe it to use that talent to it's maximum, as they're are plenty of people that would give anything to be in that position.

Her shot selection isn't what it could be. But that's something she can work on. She has the strokes in her locker, it's just about choosing when and where to use them.

Edit: Game, Set and Match Ana.

Sam - If you get a chance look at A. Radwanska later on. Just turned 19, but naturally gifted and solid.

Better player then Ivanovic imo. Her 17 year old sister is playing S. Williams at present.

One for the long term future imo.

Now she will go out and lose in 2 probably after saying that

I'll certainly watch out for her.

What Court is she due to play on?

They are beasts who power is only matched by Sharapova, if they can serve well and not have too many unforced errors most of the girls players will have trouble beating them

As for Djokovic, I think he'll win the US Open. Hardcourt is his best surface.

I had completely forgotten about that. But he did play very well at the Queens tournament on grass just before Wimbledon. He made it to the Semis last year in Wimbledon so I don't t
