Who knows... and what I'm saying about self identity isn't me saying it, its theory of Jung, Freud, Piaget and others upon which lots of psychological theory is based.

In terms of race, negative connotations of race, particularly in the west, are a product of colonialism rather than a difference in identification, just as sexism is a learned rather than instinctual behaviour.

My 6 year old sister loves to play football (although she detests watching it). She loves running around and getting dirty in the mud. Nothing wrong with that either. Its perfectly normal and healthy. She also loves puzzles and tv which is very gender neutral itself.
Of course it doesn't matter. I started off in the same place as you, where I thought I didn't want to influence my child to hew to gender norms such as always wearing blue instead of pink - that's just silly. But there actually is a difference between boys and girls, based on observing my little boy. He's a mummy's boy, as all little boys are, but curiously prefers to do the things daddy likes. And cars. I never really liked cars. Or trains. Those are all his own.

He definitely won't develop psychological problems and/or have a mental breakdown and/or shoot up the school... or will he?

Do we actually know anything significant about the difference in brains?

Maybe there are differences in what people of different sexes will be interested in, but I get the impression that difference in behaviour is rather more down to how differently they're treated. (Example: Interesting piece from forskning.no.)
