I wouldn't be surprised if they simply manufacture the scores and feed it to the people. North Korea wins World Cup.

The situation in North Korea is so bizarre that some of the reports from there are quite hilarious - like the time Kim Jong-Il was out playing golf and finished the round with 9 holes-in-one. It's funny until you realise there are millions of people there who have been indoctrinated for so long they don't have any idea of how the real world looks like. They believe these hilarious news snippets because they are so sheltered from what we call reality they may as well be living on another planet.

When you see footage from North Korea it's hard to believe a place such as that exists because most of all it reminds me of some gloomy, dark movie set in an imaginary post-apocalyptic nightmare.

What I want to know is that as it is crime punishable by death to leave North Korea, how are the players getting to South Africa?

That punishment awaits them if they don't win the World Cup, apparently.

If that's not motivation, nothing is.

It's intriguing in the extreme. I don't know if we'll ever see another state like this again, I'm always grabbing every little titbit of information on North Korea, there's just so little.

Did you know there are an estimated 4000 North Korean spies in South Korea? When I was in South Korea my friends were explaining to me that there are two emergency numbers - 1 for police, fire, ambulance etc and another to report North Korean spy activity. It's insane.

So....Brazil, Portugal & Ivory Coast

No games to be shown there then. In fact, they might as well just pretend it isn't happening

Those players must be terrified now - if they get spanked, which they likely will, what on Earth will happen to them when they get back home?

Plan an escape sometime during the tournament.

If they were drawn against us they would probably try and claim asylum from John Terry.
