Obviously, it's a pretty awful thing that Giggsy has done here.

I hope he doesn't let this interview coming out now effect his performances in the second half of the season, it hasn't before now though, so it seems unlikely.

I thought that given that this entire debacle had caused such huge publicity that it was very suspect there was not a thread on it here before.

It would seem odd for Giggs not to defend his name and make a statement about this if it is untrue. To be honest though, from all the media attention the story got, I had assumed it was already a proven and accepted fact.

Not really defending Giggs but it takes two to tango, if Natasha were manipulated by Giggs at a young age, she claimed their affair went on for years so she had plenty of time to put a stop to it and let's not forget, Ryan Giggs isn't the only person she cheated on Rhodri with.

Pretty impressed with the reaction here, expected a lot more one-sided "Why is this here, this is a football forum!" posts, even though the same posts about many opposition players would have dozens of posts.

It's an awful thing he is done. Do you think it will be remembered in 40/50 years time? Has he any hope of taking up an ambassadorial kind of role within the club when he retires? has it tarnished his hope of becoming Sir Ryan Giggs?

Yeah, Rhodri was so heartbroken that shortly after the revelations appeared he went on holiday with Ryan & Nastasha, a holiday that Ryan paid for. Don't get me wrong - Ryan is far from blameless - but they've a history of using the Giggs name for their own gain.

Salford nowadays as player manager. I saw him play vs Durham in November. To turn the thread towards football for a second: he looked a class above everybody else on the pitch to be honest. Scored a header from outside the box, and set up another goal with a ridiculously good flick. If he hadn't had his own personal issues earlier on in his life, I think he could easily have played league football to a decent standard (League 1 or 2).
