Spain claims shipwreck treasure

seems that the Spanish govmnt wants the treasure from the sunken ship that the American private company found.
what's the Caf policy on sunken treasure? finders-keepers or?

same for the British, Portugese, etc. though I haven't seen them claim any treasure - yet.

oh yeah, them too. and more central america than North, but hey, Mexico is part of NAFTA.

Should be dealt with in a sound archaeological manner under the Portable Antiquities Scheme...by whoever can fund the best possible research. Final resting place of the treasure, I guess, should be Spain in a museum or University or both.
