They are gearing up totally for the destruction of Iran

Final destination Iran? - Herald Scotland | News | World News

Hundreds of powerful US “bunker-buster” bombs are being shipped from California to the British island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean in preparation for a possible attack on Iran.

The Sunday Herald can reveal that the US government signed a contract in January to transport 10 ammunition containers to the island. According to a cargo manifest from the US navy, this included 387 “Blu” bombs used for blasting hardened or underground structures.

Experts say that they are being put in place for an assault on Iran’s controversial nuclear facilities. There has long been speculation that the US military is preparing for such an attack, should diplomacy fail to persuade Iran not to make nuclear weapons.

Although Diego Garcia is part of the British Indian Ocean Territory, it is used by the US as a military base under an agreement made in 1971. The agreement led to 2,000 native islanders being forcibly evicted to the Seychelles and Mauritius.

The Sunday Herald reported in 2007 that stealth bomber hangers on the island were being equipped to take bunker-buster bombs.

How can we drop nukes on anyone, when we don't actually have them?

Apparently, the deported Diego Garcia natives aren't too happy with the move.

They should have forced them into England for a year before finally forcing them to the Seychelles.

Don't think they'd need much forcing after living here for 12 months.

I expect the likes of fox news to start ratcheting up the fear mongering in the coming months.

They hate our freedoms, goddamnit.

Also expect the rhetoric about freeing the Iranis from the evil clutches of Ahmadinejad by bombing the fuck out of the country.

We will be greeted as liberators.

I think the official stance is that we won't be the first to introduce nuclear weapons to the ME...

What's Fox News got to do with it all if it's the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize winner that is going to blow the feck out of the Iranian nuclear program?

It always amuses me when Brits complain about the 'terrible state of Britain'. It's better off than most other countries, that's for sure. Sadly, we've got a bit of the same thing here. Oh, petrol prices are too high! Liquor prices are too high! Too many foreigners! Too high taxes! Too bad health-care system! (that last one is particularly funny). Too low sentences! Too much crime!

The word 'too' has now lost all meaning to me.

Belgium isn't so bad. Bruges is quite pretty as is Ghent. I've done a bit of travelling in Flanders too.

Sounds cool.

I have done some UK travelling myself once or twice, and it isn't that bad either to be honest.

Really, we won't. Just because all you see is crappy innercities the countryside is stunning. Theres more to do, we just tend to whinge about it. Also we have different seasons, not just basking in the sun like some lizards. We are the home of the best music and festivals in the world, and fuck me we know how to party. We have more free speech than the United States. Our Country will catch you when you fall, look after you and help you back on your feet. We have incredible marine life, coasts and countryside. We are generous, kind yet willing to battle for our friends. We are the home of modern democracy, education and freethinkers. The world beats quite literally to our clock. Our cities are as grand as any in the world. Our food is incredible and our culture truly diverse. In fact the UK is pretty fucking ace. So tell me, apart from Infected Mushrooms, whats so good about Israel?

Your foot is in your mouth, maybe you should I don't know get informed. Fox News is a mouth piece for the Republicans if anything they will decry any involvement in Iran, and make Obama look bad.

Iran needs to finish developing that nuke..fast, if they want to deter the US. Take North Korea's example - the US wont touch them with a 10,000 mile pole.

Is nonsense. N Korea hasn't got the delivery systems to touch the USA. If they had, they'd have been nuked by the Americans the moment they'd developed them. Do you really believe that the USA would just sit ther while a rogue state, wit ha volatile megalomaniac at the helm, fiddled with the trigger which could, say, wipe out New York?

Get real.

It probably has more to do with Iran boasting of its photoshop capabilities in creating weapons. Every few months Iran comes out saying it has some new super weapon that can't be stopped/detected/etc.

They could also be used in Afghanistan against the Taliban/Al Qaeda.

Neither did Iraq, but that didnt prevent an invasion...that is if you believe this WMD melarchy.

You're also forgetting that the North Koreans have a few thousand destructive weapons all aimed at Seoul and that can level the city within minutes. Let's also not overlook the fact that the US has some 30,000 soldiers stationed in South Korea.

Iran is always going to be on the US's scope regardless of whether they relax their nuclear aspirations or not. If they want to survive a violent regime change imposed by the friendly Americans then they best better Saddam Hussein and actually finish up those nukes. Then the United States would be more reluctant in interfering.
