Israel had not retaliated for any of the Hizballah provocations since the 2000 pullout, but the 2006 one was one too many. Where did you get this "planning a war anyway" comment from? Watching Al-Mannar again? This would explain how you could come up with the suggestion that Israel needs "permission" from the Lebanese government to attack Hizballah.

That's either a lie or just pure ignorance. The morning of the border patrol attack started with heavy bombardment of Israeli towns along the border.

They did not die for their country, because the war was against their country's interests. They died for a stupid mistake by their leader, and took hundreds of innocent lives with them...from both sides

One of the best falafel places in Israel is in downtown Haifa, in the Arab neighbourhood of Wadi Nisnas. PM when you visit Israel, and I'll take you there.

This is the place

PS, I hope you are not pissed off with the "Israeli national food" comment...we like to see ourselves as part of the ME, so some of us tend to compromise the facts a bit

I don't support anyone ..

I think Lebanese politics are extremely corrupt and really fucked up to say the least.

Every head of political party has either killed tons of people, or stolen millions from the people, or even done both! And most people who follow a political party are usually so brainwashed by their leader's views that they forget what's at stake, the stability and wellbeing of Lebanon and tend to lean towards ignorance and just hatred of their brothers and sisters.

I would have thought that the civil war would have taught us something and it makes me sick that all that shit still lingers in Lebanon. That's one of the main reasons I left home now ..

There were few people whom I admired in politics though, Rafic Hariri being one, and Gebran Tueni being another. They were rare examples of politicians who really stood up and fought for what was right for Lebanon. And then being assassinated later on for those exact same reason.

How about Walid Jumbalat? What is the general opinion about him among non-Druz Lebanese?

He's the father of one of my best friends, so it's quite an ambiguous subject.

To be honest though, I think he's whack, so do nearly all the non-Druze population.

To sum him up: He throws insults at opposition leaders, he plays on both sides of the fence, he bullshits a whole fucking lot, he killed people whom he's decided to partner with now etc...

The majority of Druze idolize him, hence can't really see what he's really like, effectively.

Cannot you get 2 passports - I'm British and when I was working needed to visit countries that didn't like each other so I requested a spare from our Government citing business reasons and got a spare issued - no problems after that

Can't you have dual citizenship, contaminating only your Cypriot passport with Israeli stapms? Nazareth is only 25-30 minutes drive from Falafel Hazkenim in Haifa...

I use my Lebanese passport to go into Lebanon.

And in Lebanon, the military thing was only for guys who had brothers. Girls, and guys who only had sisters or were only children, didn't need to go into the army. And the period you have to serve is quite short

In Israel, everyone has to do it. Or so I think. And it's for about two years..

Israeli men, Arabs and ultra-orthodox Jews excluded, have to serve 3 years in the army after school (normally age 18-21). Women serve 2 years.

Sorry for my absence, I've been off plotting with my banker friends and taking care of some Illuminati business.

For the record, my new name this month is Wilhelm. It's a good solid German name and thus the perfect disguise.

Now, back to the psych-jobs...

Nice.

I would admire you greatly if you were to drown yourself in a bucket.

Considering the fact that you admire total psycho genocide-attempting maniacs because they speak well and promise to obliterate hook-noses, I think you might be right there.

And people wonder why the world is so fucked up...

I guess cancer is the least of one's worries when you're surrounded by charismatic leaders who you can all admire until they send a mortar shell into your home or blow your kids up at a disco.

It's all fun and games until somebody gets emphysema.

Good shout.

This thread probably doesn't exist either. It has been wiped into the sea by folks I admire because they are good at banging their shoe on a podium.

Next up, the Great Satan.

Shutters?

How do you know? I'm circumcised and my parents have money.

Maybe I changed my name a long long time ago and live my life as a secret Jew agent within the Protestant and Catholic communities, just waiting to strike like a hook-nosed rattler?

Alternatively, I'm going to have to rush back to the courthouse before the petition goes through...

damn
