In the pub tonight there was a beer called "Veto" with a cartoon David Cameron on the front of the tap. If that doesn't vindicate his decision then I don't know what does.

Excuse me gimps...help me out with something
I seem to be the only person in the world that thought the whole veto thing was a deal between the UK and the rest, a kind of ruse It allowed the EU to get themselves in a position to bail out the periphery, without having to bother with a load of tricky and time-consuming referendums And it allowed Cameron to appease his right, while actually not really sacrificing anything or doing much at all Explain to me why this is wrong |

In Europe's dark days, what cause for hope?
Stabilising the euro should be a bridge to longer-term change and a stimulus to the imagination, writes Anthony Giddens Quote:
A lovely story, how much of it is true, or will make a difference, remains to be seen. |
