Spoiler policy
This is the spoiler policy which will be vigorously policed. If you are unsure or think the rules need modifying contact us before you post to avoid unhappiness when we infract you.
TV threads - spoiler tags do not need to be used if the episode has been shows on television anywhere in the world. If you haven't watched the latest episode keep out of the thread. There are lots of places to check the broadcast dates of programs are e.g. TV.com and Wikipedia. - any and all comment related to future developments must be placed in spoiler tags even if the information comes from an official interview or a "next week on ..." clip at the end of an episode. - ALL spoilers must have a brief explanation of their source and content in bold. No exceptions. - any and all information from the original source material e.g. book or graphic novel must be in a separate thread. This sort of material must never be posted in a thread about the TV version, even if spoilered, and failure to comply will result in an infraction. - future developments are defined as anything that hasn't been shown in an episode on TV somewhere in the world. - "Next week on ..." clips aren't considered to be part of an episode. Books and films - spoiler tags are not required if the thread is about a specific book or film. If you haven't watched or read the item in question don't go into the thread. - spoiler tags must be used if any discussion of possible future plot occurs e.g. possible developments in sequels. - spoiler tags must be used to even mention aspects of plot in all other threads e.g. movie review and book thread. Even long reviews can give away too much information so be courteous and use spoiler tags if in doubt. - ALL spoilers must have a brief explanation of their source and content in bold. No exceptions. - when a film or book being discussed has not been released yet it will inevitably contain speculation and discussion about future plot developments. - pre-release threads should therefore be labeled as such e.g. PRE-RELEASE THREAD CONTAINING SPOILERS. When the film is released a new thread must be started and normal rules apply. |

RedCafe Rules & Posting Guidelines
Our basic rules include (but are not limited too):
* Please use English language only, no text language. It is annoying, use your keyboard properly. * Only one forum account per member. * No Windups in the Transfer Forum - Creating false articles relating to transfers will always result in an infraction. Please think before posting. * Windups on other forums will be frowned upon. If the Redcafe name is used, those posters responsible will be removed from Redcafe.net * No Advertising - We work very hard to make Redcafe.net popular, do not plug your own website here, do it the hard way like the rest of us. * No racism, bigotry or comments suggesting child abuse – We will enforce this strictly, any racism/Bigotry towards fellow board members will result in an immediate banning. * No Porn – There are lots of places on the internet for this, But Redcafe.net isn’t one of them. No discussion of an overtly sexual nature. * No overtly violent or grotesque images * No Spam – Your post count is not important, unnecessary posts will be removed. Continual spamming will result in further action being taken. * No cloning – Do not create extra user names to try and be malicious or be yet another 'unique' WUM, it’s easy to track your IP and find out if you post with more than one account. * No swearing in the titles of threads, they show on the front page of the site. * Try and post in the correct forum, it makes it much easier for people to find the topics. * Signatures- are not enabled on this board. * Newbies - please read the FAQ regarding when you will (or wont be promoted), do not repeatedly ask. * 'Banter' involving Munich, Hillsborough and Heysel is out of bounds. * Breaking the rules can lead to your posts being edited/deleted/closed. A temporary suspension of your account or account deletion. * Ignore Function. This forum has an Ignore function. If a particular poster really winds you up, put him/her on ignore. * Posters perceived as undermining the ability of mods and admins to run the site are subject to infractions. Incessant arguing about moderation, insulting Moderators or Administrators, and the repeated starting of threads questioning why a specific act of moderation was taken, are all examples of this. Repeat offenders are subject to having their posting privileges permanently removed. * Report a Post. This forum has a 'report a post' function. If you believe something has gone beyond the realms of what is acceptable use the button to report it. Mods may miss the post first time, so don't whine that we didn't do anything about it. * Man of the Match Threads - When posting in the post-match Man of the Match threads in the United forum, posters are asked to post their top three United performers, and then move on. Any extraneous comments will be subject to infractions. Please help us keep the MoTM threads in order. * "Bumping" old Threads - Please use discretion when bumping old threads. We recognize that there are instances when it is appropriate to pick up on older discussions, however we ask that you PM a Mod or Admin before bumping a thread that is more than 12 months old in order to ensure that thread titles are modified so as to not appear misleading when posters click on them. Note that randomly bumping very old threads may result in an infraction. * Users requesting temporary bans for personal reasons should be aware that they cannot be undone. If you ask for a 60 day temp ban, but weeks into your ban, decide you want to come back in 30 days - well...you can't. Think before you ask. * Excepting rare cases, user name changes and other miscellaneous account modifications are not permitted unless users have a legitimate need to do so. Please carefully choose your username before signing up, as its yours for keeps. * Users are asked to not post online match streams in the Matchday or any other forum. This includes users placing URLs of streams into their location. We also remind users that forum rules and posting etiquette standards also apply to match day threads. Violations of these guidelines may result in being removed from the match day forum. * The moderators reserve the right to take action on things which may fall outside those boundaries. * Unsolicited abusive PMs are not acceptable and guilty users will be open to infractions and/or bannings * Other football forums. And finally, if you don't like it here that much, don't whine about it, go find a forum that suits your taste more. Its not like there isn't choice! |
