I understand the frustration on matchdays but I'm not going to start filtering out guests. There is a peak of about 15 minutes after games where things get sluggish but then it's back to normal.
This peak is actually quite valuable as we can monitor it and make improvements to the server configuration to squeeze a little bit extra out of it. Server performance has increased quite a bit in the last few months and that wouldn't have been possible without pushing it to the limit. Further hardware upgrades are coming in the summer so that will hopefully improve the situation further. I'm trying to grow the site as much as possible and keeping guests is an important part of that. So thanks for your patience... ![]() |

No that would suck, and would go down the path of red republik. Complete openness is what makes the site great.
Maybe add an ad banner or something, like google ads, to help with the forum upgrades/costs. |

I have a suggestion to make for poor souls (like myself sometimes) who come on the matchday threads as a last resort to catch the match.
Can we have a OFFICIAL matchday thread where only certain people (maybe mods or volunteers - about 10 to 15 of them) are allowed to post the happenings of the match? Yes, i know I could catch it on BBC or someother site but i do want the reactions of the United fans just not an overdose of it. |
