Question

Two thing quickly, and both can probably be cleared up very quickly..

1 - Searching on the forum, perhaps its me as searching for my posts I have made is easy enough but when I search for a specific term, say 'QPR' as I did earlier, nothing was returned so I eneterd Queens Park Rangers, then Q P R, then just Rangers and no threads returned about Rangers or QPR, can I ask what am i doing wrong, or what should I be doing differently?

2 - Is there a better way to view the forum? I post in several threads and forget where I posted, who to reply to etc.. Other than getting a better memory, is there anyway you guys can view 'only threads I have typed in' etc and things like that to make it easier?

Thanks for any help in advance!

1 - Try searching in the search bar in the header instead?

2 - I'd like to know that answer also.

If you go into a forum, not just search the front page, you'll see an arrow icon on the thread, indicating that you've posted in it. That's about it really.

Regarding the search feature. Try using google. Go to the advanced search settings. There you can search on this site specifically. I know the search engine here is google but I'm not sure how it's optimized.

You could just look at your subscribed threads in your user profile, that lists all the threads you've posted in.

"Q P R" and "QPR" won't show up with anything as the normal search doesn't allow you to search for anything with 3 characters or less and comes up with no results. If you want to search for those terms then the best bet is to use the Google Search at the top of the page but it probably won't be that great.

Like beacon said, viewing your subscribed threads is the best bet for that kind of stuff but by default you might not be subscribed to threads. You can change the settings by clicking this link and changing the Default Thread Subscription Mode.
