We should set up a Facebook group which asks people to like it if they're against racism. That way if they don't click it we know they're racists.

If I'd made the logo I wouldn't have made it predominantly white, with a smaller amount of black and a tiny amount of yellow. That's just asking for trouble.

I have a hard time understanding why you get so upset about adding this to our website. You believe this is only about having a logo on the website? I wonder if you people act the same way for example when buying jeans? Often go with the brandless choice? It's just a brand...
If you think it's a stupid idea, please suggest why. I don't see where the anti-thieft theme comes in, but anti-racism is something that is included in all football clubs these days and is often highlighted during games. Other things worth supporting would be child care, hospitals, cancer research and such groups. It's also what the players do on their spare time. So those sort of alternatives are more suited for big players as they can help a lot with their presence. For Redcafe I believe this network would be a good thing to support and well suited as they need to reach out with their message. As for those who say "that logo don't mean anything", well now it does! We've had quite many people reading this thread and most of you already know about this organisation now. Mission accompliced! I'm sure you've seen them before but never took notice. This is A-O on how to build a brand! We've been given the green light to join, so I don't see how we could refuse such an offer. It's good enough for Rooney. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

You're making a better go of this than Baz has done over the last year or so. |

On a side note; I am loving the fight and optimism from Successful, but can I ask why you feel so strongly about racism? Is it something you have suffered from? |

![]() Yes, I feel it is important to do our bit. I've been at football games where small boys (age 7) would start crying after being abused during the game and then not wanting to play football again. That's as sad as it gets. I don't think you can understand how sad it is before it actually happens infront of you. Childrens body language translates straight into your soul and you can actually feel the same thing they feel. |

So, and forgive me if I came off brash (Its because I am a bit..) but, you believe by planting this symbol on a particular forum you have posted a few thousand times, that it then won't hurt these kids? Or do you believe that by the addition of this logo, that it will make 7 year old kids stand up and take a look at themselves for being racist... I'm being sarcastic obviously, I do sympathise with the situation, but you couldn't have presented more as a WUM if you had tried.

Was looking up some youtube videos to find some other causes we could get behind and there were a number about collecting signatures on petitions to "End Women's Sufferage" A large number of women in the videos seemed to feel quite strongly that this should be ended. Is this something the Cafe could get behind?

OP, how about you check with the site admin and owner first before going ahead and doing stuff like this?
frankly its absurd. We dont need a logo to do our bit. We moderate the site to cut out anything that oversteps the mark. Thats all we can do. |

Believe me, I was not expecting this big of a fuzz over this. How is this any worse than having a download firefox logo? I think the fact people are laughing is that they don't know about the organisation. Clearly as the pictures show they're a big part of football. Perhaps it would have been a different thing if the brand was EA-games? So the commitment is just by adding the logo to show sympathy. We would be the first football fan site to do so. And then there are of course other aspects such as investors. They might feel more confident when knowing we support something important. But that's just some extra bonus that could come along. |

Perhaps it's possible to use that logo instead. I'm not sure whether it's a logo they had for some campaign or they felt the name Fare was a strong enough brand. I can write them and ask what's up with the other logo.
