Malta then was considered as part of Italy therefore the Maltese were as Romans as the Romans.

Ive read what Ceaser said about the English, describing them as barbarians, still living in the iron age, who went to war with painted faces and who caused loads of awe for nothing

A few centuries after the FIFA gave the same statement about the English calling them hooligans and banning them from Football

You are being clueless again. The Italians are direct descendents of the Romans. After that the Roman empire collapsed Italy broke into several regions and communities until Galibaldi re united Italy again.

The Maltese are direct descendents of the Italians. In fact the first Maltese left Italy in the Prehistoric times on rafts and came to Malta where they erected the oldest buildings in the world. The Maltese language is a mixture of Italian language, English language and Arab language.

While I have nothing against the Arabs (you are using the word Arab as if there is something to be shy about being Arab, why?) the first Maltese came from Sicily, Italy. The Arabs had invaded Malta influencing a bit the Maltese language but the Maltese kept their identity, remained fiercely Christian and till the time of date the Maltese had valued their close ties with their Italian origins and vice versa (Mussolini himself stated that Malta should be Part of Italy because the Maltese are Italians)
