Zlatan has disappointed me a bit though. I still think he's got great potential but together with that, I have question marks regarding his productivity. I think it's going to take him a year or two to really turn on the class, he still needs to learn how to use his strength and body size to the max. |

A player I'd really love us to sign is David Odonkor from Borussia Dormtuns.
If you think Owen has pace, wait till you see this guy. He also seems to me like such a winner, such a determined player. To come back from a serious car accident to play football regularly and be such a fantastic player, I really think shows of a very determined player. He'd be superb for United. |

He's certainly an arrogant little fecker but hell, a lot of the greats were just that. As long as you can back it up with skill and productivity then I guess you're ok. |

Anyway, I should be getting tapes of the U-17s/U-19s/reserves any day now so I'd have a chance to watch all the lads in action again. Re: Calliste, I've seen short glimpes of our current U-17s and was very, very excited. I'm hoping they'll excite me again when I get the tapes this week. I certainly see it as the best batch of raw talent we've had in a while. Calliste is the special one from what I've seen but the likes of Kouman (the French one, not the Dutch one ), Port, Heaton, Eagles, Nevins look very good as well. |

Zlatan..what is he 6ft 5?? the guy has skill, physical stature and good pace... I thought that he's played well for Ajax this season???? |

Johnny Heitinga's playing first team for them now, in central defence, next to Chivu, has been doing very well from what I've seen. The thing about Dutch talents is that they are late bloomers when it comes to youth, their youth teams always look so crappy. Their U-20 team this year was an absolute joke. But the moment these players get first team oppertunities at their clubs, they improve in such a vast rate. I can't explain it, but it's something only that Dutch have. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that in Holland they only teach them ball-skills/passing/etc while at their youth so physically/tactically they are very raw so when they finally get into the first teams at their clubs, they improve at an advanced rate. |
