You'll never walk alone?

Er... it looks like you will actually

**The year of the Mickey Mouse treble**

quarter final v Porto 40,502
worthless semi v palace 41,854
premiership v southampton 38,473
uefa cup v rapid 35,484
fa cup v city 36,231
uefa cup v solvan 29,662
wortless v chelsea 29,370
fa cup v rotherham (8000 from rotherham) 30,689
wortless quarter final v fulham 20,144
thousands of tickets returned for the uefa cup final

**post treble win, Liverpool on the march towards the premiership title**

european cup v haka 31,602
champions leage v boavista 30,015
champions league v dynamo 33,513

premiership, team needing support... thousands of plastic reds rushing towards the exits clutching Liverworld bags

**The excuses for diabolical attendances.........

"it was a meaningless game"

"its a meaningless competition... er... unless we win it"

"we'd already wrapped up the tie in the first leg"

" the tickets are too dear"

" i couldnt get through on ticketmaster"

"it can be hard to get to anfailed midweek... and all our fans are scousers... and nobody in manchester supports united"

"it was because of the fuel crisis"

"it was only the fa cup and united are a disgrace for devaluing it"

"it was onlt rotherham/some european team we've never heard of"

"it was only a quarter final"

"it was only roma/porto/kiev"

"it was only a semi final"

"it wasn't man united"

So the next time you hear the anfailed crowd in full voice singing "you'll never walk alone" you can be smug in the knowledge that it is, in fact, bullshit.

Good work that Sarah..

Excellent stats and imagination..

Surprised that you're interested, as you don't care what goes on with other clubs..

Do you?

I was just surprised to read that Liverpool fans were not as loyal as they claim?

You must be so disappointed!

fuck me there are some sad attendances there

20,000 for a home game is pathetic, you should all be ashamed!

Yeah so many scousers on the forum, but yet not one has come on and admitted how pathetic they really are

United have had crap attendances at home before (Wimbledon at home a decade or so ago) being a prime example, but unlike some clubs, we admit it and do not pretent it did not happen.

Liverpool fans are everywhere now, yet I genuinley think it is very sad that they can't sell their tickets, are their fans no better than those who follow Southampton and Coventry? Only turning up for the big games? Obviously not, as even UEFA cup final tickets were returned!

It seems that Liverpool's 'treble' was not so brilliant as it has been claimed. If so, would the crowds not have reflected this?

Yeah but Arsenal are a big club, and obviously these stats prove that Liverpool aren't.

Or it could be that their fans can't be arsed to go to Anfailed to watch their 'heroes' and lets face it, if the players were half as good as they claim them to be they'd want to go to games to see them wouldn't they? Instead of making pathetic excuses for their non-attendance (or in this case, maintaining a 'dignified' silence)

And why couldn't Looneypool give some of the local kids a chance to see their heroes then? Great PA. Plus the fact that a full house = better atmosphere = more chance of winning after all.

Well, how can you explain the fact that Liverpool supporters were completley outsang for the majority of the recent game at Anfailed?

Of course, that was until Liverpool started singing their classic 'terrace anthem' to the tune of 'hey baby' and reminded us all that they are about as clued-up as the gimps who support Sheffield Wednesday.

United admit there has been a problem at Old Trafford re: atmosphere and have done something about it in creating a singing end. Liverpool fans keep trying to alude themselves that all is rosy at 'fortress' Anfield, with their half empty stadium and their crowd made up of Liverworld whores.

But the facts remain.....

United fans turn up to Old Trafford in vast numbers whoever we are playing.

Liverpool fans turn up when they play a decent team and are, therefore, not there to see their own team but to see the opposition.

Just like their recent trophies, their supporters are plastic too it seems
