Batman - The Dark Knight

New trailer: http://whysoserious.com/happytrails/trailer.htm

I can't wait. Christian Bale is such an awesome actor and I think Heath Ledger has made a Joker even Jack Nicholson would be proud of.

Looks AMAZING :|

Nobody is going to be able to replace Heath it seems, from the trailer, he looks to be a better Joker than Jack Nicholson

I read the Legends of the Dark Knight series/Halloween Specials and always dreamed of this story to be told instead of the bubble gum version as portrayed at first.

The combination of Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale to begin with in this series of films was sheer genius. Its payed off so far with Batman Begins and I can't see this one being an different, not to mention the best Joker role looks to be leaning towards the late Heath Ledger if he's as good in the entire film as he is in the previews.

I will be at the first showing and will report back on it without a doubt. My favorite graphic novel becoming a film was V is for Vendetta, but the Dark Knight series was always a dream of mine to see pan out and now its going to the sequel. I hope they stay as consistent through however many Nolan and Bale are signed on for, if they start to suck I'll be pissed.

V for Vendetta was a great film and I was absessed with the graphic novel series for many years. There were many reasons for this, but I'll let the creator answer it for me...

Moore stated in an interview:

...the central question is, is this guy right? Or is he mad? What do you, the reader, think about this? Which struck me as a properly anarchist solution. I didn't want to tell people what to think, I just wanted to tell people to think, and consider some of these admittedly extreme little elements, which nevertheless do recur fairly regularly throughout human history.

I'll say no more, well ok a bit more. Natalie Portman played Evey well and Hugo Weaving played V fantastically, not only that but Steven Rea was fantastic as Chief Inspector Eric Finch. I love his music in the film, Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, while Parliamant explodes! Love the film.

Sin City is brillant as well, BTW, and I'll be there for any sequel day 1!

This is gonna be stunning movie.

Loved Tim Burton's movies about Batman, but I feel that Nolan's saga can be even better.

Can't wait.

One of my students let me in on this, that the new trailer and the original one from the '89 Burton Batman are almost identical.

I found the link, but my PC doesn't seem interested in playing videos today for some reason, so I'll share and leave it to you to decide.

Not a clue.

One of my HNC students just pointed it out one day in class. Maybe it's an homage, I have no idea.

It sounds as though we are going to see Harvey Dent become Two Face in this one aswell. Aaron Eckhart (Actor playing Dent/Two Face) has said that Nolan is going to shock a lot of people with his vision of Two Face.

Sounds as though this Batman movie is NOT going to be kid friendly! Sweet!

Saw a photo of "two face" the other day on IMDB.

Don't know if its legit but it looks pretty gruesome.

Dark Knight is easily going to be film of the year!
