Are you sure Battlefield is more of a team game MD? When I watch videos of multiplayer BF: BC2 online on youtube, everyone runs around on their own or snipes. I noticed the same thing when I looked up COD videos too but BF looks to be better though.

In my experience people who go solo don't last very long on BF, besides the squad mechanic is half the fun...

Okay I have never played a shooting game on my Xbox. I tried playing Halo Reach a couple of months ago. I found it so hard to move around and turn and shoot. I am so used to playing on my computer where it is so easy to move and turn with the mouse. Anything I can do to improve movement and turning? Is it just practice?

Apparently the Alpha code trial is live for this today.

Go here to see if you're eligible to claim one (PC only).

I've got one but sadly haven't got a PC with the gonads to play it on.

I just saw the gameplay video where you fly jets and shoot down other planes. Its pretty good. I really can't wait for this game to come out.

Way more of a team game although you can get alot of solo's floating about. I came from playing COD and found it a massive shock at first. I enjoy it way more now very satisfying when you get a team that actually works together, i enjoy sniping and medic great laugh running around trying to stay alive and keep your team alive at the same time.

I'm not too into games like these in general but BF3 just looks like it's going to be so immense.

Hugely looking forward to it.

Wow, that does look good. I wish I could fly those things but getting in a Tank is about as technical as it gets for me.

I'm an infrantry man, always will be.

Took me ages to master the chopper... well I didn't quite master it, but I was competent, and a decent a gunner. I think I'll like these jets though....

I hope my tactic of being the UAV pilot and constantly smashing the enemy bases vehicles as they spawn is still viable... I think I'm gonna go back for a BFBC2 hit this weekend

I hope the choppers are like BF2, and nothing like BC2.

Must have been easier on PC though right? The gamepad thumb stick just seemed a touch too sensitive...

In BF2 you could do flying more complex than like... tilt 30 degrees in the direction you want to move in.

Tight turns, barrel rolls, inverted S turns.... it was all there.

BC2 made me cry by comparison.

Tanks are as much of a bastard I always feel like a sitting duck in one, dont mind being a machine gunner every now and then though great fun riddling fellas with bullets the size of milk bottles

Just a couple of tweaks and it will be much better I could barely handle a chopper at all, I usually could go straight up then plummeet back down to the ground thus killing my whole squad might stick to recon and medic as per usual

The Alpha was really really good, it was dumbed down so that certain things could be checked without interfering with the regular stuff. Was only one map called Metro and one game mode, Rush. Other than saying the visuals and sounds are amazing I am not allowed to say anymore, pity the Alpha was so short.

It was a less restrictive flight model than that in BC2 (I was semi decent, approaching 'somewhat good') but not as touchy as that in Desert Combat.

I thought it was the perfect blend of accessibility/depth.

Always have, in the ones before BC anyway where they took them out. BF1942 had them in, plus the Desert Combat mod, the jets were amazing.

I found 1942 fairly easy to handle the planes, a good laugh aswel having a dog fight and winning then parachuting in behind enemy lines. I found BC2 an awful lot harder the choppers a fucking nitemare. I tried again earlier today and continually made a bollox of it

GET TO THE CHOPPAAAAAA !!!!!

I made the switch from the COD franchise to Battlefield about a month or two ago...good call on my part. BC2 is a much more enjoyable game, all the way round.

That's not really a switch, BC is like Battlefield-lite.

Once you play BF3 you'll realise that monumental difference in the switch

It really is, will be interesting to see what they can do with it also with Mirrors Edge 2. They look to have pushed the boundry again.
