I've shot the dragon in the tail about 30 times now an nothing, he gets pissed off stomps along the bridge above me then sits back down again. Am i doing something wrong?

No. Keep shooting. It will vary depending on your character's stats, and bow/arrows. As a Knight, it takes about 20 normal arrows with the short bow.

Weird. My brother went with a thief and he snagged it with around 20 large arrows. You are firing from under the bridge, right? Just on the edge?

Yeah, found some vids on youtube and i'm in the exact spot. I've heard dexterity is a big thing with it, and my guy has only 9. I just bought 80 arrows now, if i don't get it with that i'm moving on without.

I've looked at as many videos on how to get it as i can. I've harvested some souls and got my dexterity up and am trying again this time with 150 arrows, used 40 already and still no luck.

After nearly 2 hours, and around 200 plus arrows i finally got it. This had better be worth it...

I was so hell bent on moving forward that I didn't bother with the dragon. I knew it gave a trophy and a big soul but nothing else. My character was also very crap with a bow and that added to my easy decision of letting him be.

So is it that much different to demon's souls apart from having better graphics, fireplaces and being able to change class by switching weapons?

No. It's basically a much larger, more difficult Demon's Souls. The main difference is it's open world.

I might have to start again. I attacked a merchant while drunk last night and now he won't sell me anything.

Bloody hell,

Just beat the Bell Gargoyles on the roof of the parish area, it dropped a big arse axe which was a nice surprise. but the Drake sword is insanely good, i have no idea how i would have managed to kill those things without it.

I died so many times there. I then went back in human form and summoned the sun dude. Easy pickings. I think that was the 6th boss demon I have killed. I can get straight to another one, but he is insanely difficult.

How do you summon that guy? He gave me a stone and said to summon him if i needed help but i have no idea what to do with it.

You need to be in human form. There was writing on the floor right before the fog gate. Hit X and it asks if you want to summon him. A godsend.

I don't think i've been in human form for donkey's, i constantly look like a zombie. I thought killing bosses made you go back into human form?

No, you have to use humanity points at a bonfire. If you are human, and you have a humanity point, you can use it to kindle the bonfire. That means you get twice as many estus flasks when you rest there.

How is your equipment? Other than the Drake sword, I use a battle axe+3 and the knight shield+1. I'm using Elite Soldier armour. Oh, I have also plus one'd my estus flasks.

I just got my estus flask+1.

Weapon wise i use the Drake Sword and my Pyromancy Flame, armour i've got Knight Shield+1 and then my original chest piece+1 and gauntlets and Hollow Soldier Helmet and Waistcloth.

I could do with some better armour but luckily they don't get much chance to hit me when i'm one shotting them with that ridiculous sword.

And thanks for the tip with Humanity, i had no idea what to do with that either!

The one up the spiral staircase? Yeah, i kept backing away chucking my fire spell at him. That works pretty well against them.

I'm in some big forest area, and there's a lake with something that looks incredibley big and tentacley in it. I'm gonna avoid that for now.

I'm going through that forest area and to the watchtower, i went there straight after the butterfly and died thanks to a guy with a huge club but i think i could take him even if it might take some time.

I tried the catacombs and was torn apart by those skeletons that don't stay dead.

I tried to beat the guy with the huge club. Not happening. I suppose I could try the Darkroot Basin boss. The boss in Lower Undead Berg is ridiculous.

Lower Undead Berg, how do you get there?

EDIT: I've just worked something out, that place with the double hard bastard with the club is right underneath Undead Burg. If you take the stairs up instead of fighting him you'll be in a very familiar place.
