What's with this Britpop love in all of a sudden??

For Tommorow is probably my favourite Blur track, Every Planet We Reach is Dead from the Gorillaz. Very underrated artist Albarn.

A can appreciate he is good at what he does, but it's just not my cup of tea.

It's nothing to do with Oasis or anything else, so widen up that narrow mind of yours.

I liked it very much. Very "brooding" and dark at times but very british in a unique way. Great work by Alban, Simonon and the rest of the boys.

I've not heard too much of that stuff. How would you describe it?

That's actually a pretty hard thing to do. Let's call it a somber and at times extremely claustrophobic trip through London.

I'd call them an "oddball Supergroup".

Sounds like it could be mildly interesting, I'll have to pick up a cd.

its a concept album of London, so Albarn himself says, though he didn't really play that up too much. After Think Tank I expected more, but its pretty decent, if by no means his best work.

A good example from the ablum is in post #5 if you fancy a listen, Lambsey.

without reading too much of this thread, the man's a fucking faggot, a one-time Cockney wannabe from the upper-middle class suburbs of Chelmsford who turned into a parody of a heroin abuser in the late nineties and released depressing fucked up music such as Beetlebum.

Hmmm, actually I don't mind that at all. I can see it would grow after a few listens and puffs.

I'll definitely pick it up next time I do a CD trip.
