If level, then goal difference, then goals scored, then a coin toss if needed - No extra time should be played in group matches - Quarter-finals and semi-finalsto be 8 minute halves - 3rd place match and Final to be 10 minute halves - All knock-out matches are one off, with extra time (classic) and penalties if needed - You may not use a 5.0* ranked team. - Beyond that, you may choose any team you like (including internationals), but can never use the same team twice in the tournament (if you make the final, you'll therefore have needed 9 different teams). - When submitting your result, be sure to list the team used by both players. - So this doesn't last forever, I have created phases for the competition (maximum of 1 week). If you miss a deadline and do not post to give a reason or when you can next play, your game(s) will be forfeited. - If fixtures move quickly and we don't need a week for each phase, we can keep the tournament flowing if everyone is on even ground. If the deadline has not passed and teams have not completed their first round of group matches from your group, you should wait for them to complete these before playing your second round of group games. Likewise, don't play a quarter-final until ALL the groups are decided, same for semi-finals. Might be best to make your OP the group/results etc so it's easier to find and update. I'd say no 5 star teams and you have to play with a different team every game but I'm good any with rules really.

Group D is where the magic is going to happen. I'll be up for some a game or two after about 10:45 tonight if anyone's up for it.
I like the idea of not playing as the same team twice, allow 5 star teams though. Just gotta be strategic of when you use them. What about not allowing international teams? Playing against Brazil and Spain and shit can get boring and tedious. |

Here is Foxy's idea.
In regards to teams how about a pot of teams and each member gets a number, each team is assigned a number too and make it randomly generated. Say 4/4.5 teams that are as close as possible since their might not be enough 5 star teams. Each member will then have that team through the whole tournament. As regards to availability then I'm usually free post 7pm week days GMT, weekdays are up in the air - if neccasary to be on a weekend then it could be arranged. |

We doing this then? I don't usually play online (with this Fifa) so have been getting some practise in.
I dominate possession but struggle score. I scraped a 2-1 win in a game I had just under 70% possession! |

So...
I propose we use the following 16 teams, and use random.org to choose them accordingly. taking away the international teams and weaker lesser teams we have the following. Bayer Leverkusen Dortmund Juve Napoli Roma Att Madrid Sevilla Valencia Villa Real LOSC Lille Marseille Lyon PSG Porto Benfica I cut the following but these can always be changed if people don't agree. For instance I think it would be fun to have at least one Russian team. Fiorentina Lazio Malaga Sporting CP CSKA Moscow Zenit Everyone O.K with those teams? Apparently there arn't enough 5star teams to go round, so this is the next best thing. These teams picked randomly. |

Im not a fan of the idea of picking one team and giving it to the person. If we decide what star range, then its upto the player to pick whatever team he/she wants. I would also like the teams in groups to play each other twice not just once.
