Both are good games.

There are a lot of hangers on to Pro Evo though, it USED to be streets ahead of FIFA but it is no where near as far ahead in gameplay terms as what it used to be.

Just enjoy the steller aspects of both....

The problem with some of the mongs is that they think you cannot like both Fifa and Pro Evo.
This Fifa is brilliant and EA have really cracked it this time. I don't care how good Pro Evo will be, Fifa is still a brilliant game. It seems to have got this reputation over the past few years which is stopping this version from selling as many copies.
Another thing is that playing Fifa on the PS2 or the XBOX doesn't even compare to the 360 or the PS3. They are completely different games, as was the case with FIFA 2007, so i wouldn't let these opinions sway anyone wanting to get it.
I will probably never get bored of this online.

Agreed, I played it on PS3 and it's a different game. This Fifa is much harder than the previous ones. Almost impossible to score the same goal.

Has anyone had the glitch where the crown disappear and your playing in an empty stadium ?

If so, how did you get the crowd back ?

in case you wanted to know how....

Saw this whilst browsing GAMEFAQS.com thought you'd still be intrested.

if you have created a player put him in the arena. if you don't, make one and sign himto a team then put him in there.dowhatever you have to do toget 1000 points to be able to buy things in the Fan shop. the easiest way i found was to get at 71 or better pro rating in be a pro mode. I did this on legendary difficulty so i don't know if it works on the lower ones. they award you with the 1000 points when the match is over.

anyway, whenever you have the 1000 points AND your created player in the arenaSAVE your PERSONAL SETTINGS. now go to the fan shop (in ea sports extras), go over to arena player, and buy MYSTERY EXP PACKS 3 AND 4 (they total 7,000). now heres the main part. DO NOT SAVE PERSONAL SETTINGS. SAVE SQUADS. i repeat. DO NOT SAVE PERSONAL SETTINGS. SAVE SQUADS.

now go to creation zone and edit player, find your player, and he should be 7,000 points richer. do what you want with the points. exit out and DO NOT SAVE PERSONAL SETTINGS. SAVE SQUADS. now go to my fifa, save/load/delete and LOAD PERSONAL SETTINGS. this gives you your 1000 points back.

do this over and over and you will have as many exp points to work with as you want, without having to give yourself negative traits.

after you buy the packs and DO NOT SAVE PERSONAL SETTINGS AND SAVE YOUR SQUADS. you can then just go ahead and load your profile and buy the packs again. because when you save your squads its keeping the additional 7,000 every time.

this way is way better than giving yourself the negative traits for just 1000 measly points.

you can thank me later.

Or the easier way is to take off the points he doesnt need like all the goal keeping ones, sliding and standing tackles etc and put them on the ones he does need like sprinting, ball control, finishing if he is a striker. My created player has a rating of 93 so far but that's in manager mode.

I got a new high tech PC a couple of months back ,and it has a media centre, so you can watch and record TV, I was wandering if I could play my new PS3 through the TV on my PC, and if so, how ?

Fifa would look even better on this screen if possible.

stobzilla I can't get that stuff to work, it says i've bought two packs but where are they? Also both packs were only 500 each
and I think it saved it automatically

My player is still on a pathetic 11 experience points

Search for the autosave function and make sure it's turned off.

It may be easier, but its more or less useless. The "points he doesnt need" are a few points in goalkeeping that will hardly buy you a point in something hes already good at.

I made my guy an attacker. Took off all defending stuff and any midfield attributes made sure he could run with the ball, pass short distance, run at speed and shoot.

I'm f*cked. The only thing that's interesting in Fifa 08 is he Be A Pro thing.

They changed the control keys again. They do it every year. Wankers.

Ah fair enough. Though actually, for some bizarre reason the attacks are pretty good at tackling and it can be very useful.

Yes, admittedly the game does take some amount of skill. You dont just press forwards and Ronaldo skips past 3 players, you have to use the sprint button and the right stick at the right moments - Sort of like how Ronaldo has to change pace and use quick feet to beat opponents when playing in a match.

Of course, not everyone likes a challenge.

This FIFA is a hell of a lot harder than any other football game. It is incredibly realistic and i think it is fucking fantastic for this. The satisfaction you take out of making a last ditch tackle or making just one player look stupid is immense.
No football game i've played comes close. FIFA 08 is a genuinely brilliant game.
