Pretty sure I used those three the majority of the time but I had everybody hitting for 999999 each hit.

Can't wait for XIII though, just looks stunning, hopefully it will be an improvement over XII.

Will the series ever end?

The puzzles in X were really dreary, the ones where you had to put the spheres in the correct place etc etc...just dire. The best things about X for me were that it was graphically stunning with a great score to match and Auron was cool as fuck...I loved the Blitzball game too, very addictive!

Question to those that have played FF XII, was it a dissapointment? I've heard mix reviews about it, I'm still thinking if I should get it or not, would you reccomend it?

Yes it was a disappointment, but it is still an excellent game and I would highly recommend it. Just not as good as other FF's thats all. And it shouldn't et you back anymore than £20 so it is not a huge loss if you don't like it. Still a thoroughly enjoyable game. (Although I am yet to complete it, played around 60 hours though)

olesmyhero just pmd you. Just wondering if you knew if there was a ff9 pc version.

Also KingEric7 pmd you the link for the pc edition of final fantasy 7. Ultima edition works perfectly.

It's on the GBA, as Final Fantasy VI Advance. Get it and play it on an emulator. The screen might be a tad small for your tastes though.

Quite close

But you want to kill 2 monsters, one with 2 million hit points and another with 5 million hit points - I can't remember where they are. If you survive that, you can kill anything, and the game isn't worth playing any more

One reason why FFXII is slightly annoying - damage is capped at 9999.

It takes a while to wear down a few million HP, as you can imagine...

Yeah, once you've been able to hit for 99999 it's kind of shit to only be able to hit for 9999 again.

Hmm... I could be wrong... might be 99999. I can't really remember

I do know though, that once you enter the latter stages of the battle with the 5 million HP monster the cap is reduced to 6999 or 69999, which really sucks.

She is by far the best. Due to the flexible nature of the sphere grid, there is negligible, if any difference between the characters after doing some serious levelling.
The difference with Yuna is that she can also summon.

The PSP can emulate PSX games (you need the later series of firmware to do so though).

there are several ways to do it actually:

a.) you can buy a PS3 and buy the converted PS1 games off the Playstation Network, then plug in your psp to the ps3 via usb and transfer it in your memory stick and you're good to go

b.) if you have the PS1 CD, you can use a certain program to convert it to psp format

c.) download it off the net (illegally of course)

Actually funnily enough I think Rikku gets better than Auron at the very high levels, mainly due to her Mix limit break yoke.

When I bet the Dark Aeons + Penance I used Tidus, Wakka, Rikku, solid combo

Just to remind ourselves where we are going with this...

Probably in-game.

Probably cutscene (but rendered realtime) ie. you could in theory rotate the camera in this.

CG movie

This game looks superb, but to be honest I am more looking forward to the 'darker' FF Versus XIII, just looks immense. Think this is going to be 'the' Final Fantasy of all Final Fantasies.

No official release date has been set, but word coming out of Square Enix is that FFXIII will be released in 2008. (Although it wouldn't surprise me if it was released in Japan for 2008, Europe will most likely get it sometime 2009)

Yes, but there is no way you can play and enjoy a Japanese version of the game in the UK. (Unless you are fluent in Japanese)
