No. And anyone who doesn't put planes, trains and automobiles in their top 100 list isn't worth listening to anyway.

it's a good movie. nothing more nothing less. it's actually a travesty that Shawshank is placed higher in the list than Lawrence of Arabia, in fact that makes me want to vomit in disgust.

Shawshank, you mean?

It fully deserves a place in the 80-90 range. punching waaay above its weight.

Lawrence of Arabia is epic, fecking epic! the sheer scale alone makes it a top 20 film, not even taking into account the awesome acting and compelling story.

I'll try. Will have to visit a specialty shop to do so but I think it is doable...although the shop may have burned down a few weeks ago..

yep, it's gone.

it may take me a while to find those films.

I am weary of netflix and Blockbuster sucks in Canada, little in the way of selection.

there is another store on the same street that didn't burn down, it is also very good they will have these films...but it's downtown.....I hate going downtown.

List is ok. Goes a bit spastic in the middle, though. We should do one next year., Mehro and I will choose the voters, hopefully the one's that have seen a wider range of films. By then Ole and Cinc will have done their lists and all.

Any list without Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels, Snatch and Se7en in the top 10 is totally wrong.

If it doesn't then 70 of those films don't deserve to be in the top 100 too.

Thread worth bumping.

Good list, seriously. Always open for contention but I have to say I pretty much enjoyed all those movies although I haven't seen 400 Blows and I've always thought Casablanca was over rated. Shawshank probably makes my top 100 just, but yeah I agree with most on here, I think it's only so highly lauded because of the cult status it's received.

Not enough comedy though, I think some great films have been overlooked like The Naked Gun, Uncle Buck, Waynes World etc...seriously, not taking the piss those are great movies.

And finally Mulholland Drive should be in the top 5. It is a work of genius of the highest, highest order. The Jurando scene in Club Silencio is possibly (IMO of course) the most moving scene in movie history.

How this shite made the list I will never know.
