Football Games on PS3

I fancy getting one today, but can't decide. My big problem is that I don't think any of them will be as good as Pro Evo on my PS2. Euro 2008 looks pretty good, but I'm not sure it will have the longevity.

Anyone played/got it, and wish to compare it to FIFA and Pro Evo? Muchios gracias.

Euro 2008 is the best, but if you want clubs etc get Fifa 08.

The latest pro Evo on the ps3 was rushed to be released and is not as good as the last 2, nor is it as good as the 360 version. However, it is still alot better than Fifa. Fifa spends its money on player names, hundreds of clubs, making players look right etc, Pro spends the money on making a good game.

As for that Euro 2008, its just a con. Don't bother with it!

I'm almost inclined not to bother, and just stick with Pro Evo on my PS2!

not a bad shout to be honest. Just wait for the new Pro in the Autumn. I reckon it is going to be amazing to make up for the last 1.

Only thing is you can play online on the PS3 version. Have a look around, you should be able to pick it up reasonably cheap second hand!

Back from town, with no game. Just couldn't be bothered to get a game that might look better but not play as well as something I already own.

I've had a go on it at a mate's, and there are too many issues with it for my liking, such as lag, which always seemed to happen when you had a crowded penalty box. Most annoying.

Fifa 08 and Euro 2008 are both far superior to Pro Evo currently.

Maybe it was an issue with my mate's copy/console, but its also something I've seen mentioned in a few reviews.

Pro evo is the best of a bad bunch, absolutely shite online though. I'd stick with the ps2 version and wait and see what pro evo is like on the ps3 next season.

Pro Evo 08 really is a piss-poor effort.

Fifa 08 is surprisingly very good, not only with licenses but in gameplay too! Yes I said, execellent gameplay.

Id say that Fifa 08 this year is definitely better than its Pro Evo rival, and this is coming from a pro evo fanboy.

Pro Evo on the PS3 is piss poor. I would consider waiting for a new one.

Aye, that looks a good game.

Should be mind considering the amount of delays it has had.

Is it customary to have a thread each month on what is better out of fifa 08 and pro evo.

Pro evo is poor this year, not as good as pes 6. Gameplay is too fast and unrealistic.

Fifa 08 feels slow in comparison, but equally it feels the right speed .

Obviously fifa has all the rights, and the single player has depth and longevity. Online is superb aswell.

In contrast Pes 08 single player is thin, and has a short period of enjoyment. Online is also atrocious, due to being the laggiest online experience ever, and this also means no-one is ever online. So trying to find someone to play takes hours.

In conclusion Fifa 08 is the best football title ever. This coming from a die hard Pro evo fan.

Really? even better than previous pro evos?

I've played Fifa loads of times, I really want to get into it as a couple of mates play it online, but it still feels like same old fifa to me with a few improvements.

Having said that pro evo 08 is pretty poor, only ever play it when we've got the lads round, online is disgraceful. I hope konami get their act together next year.

well.. yeh fifa 08 is better than anything before. If you've been play Pro Evo, is does take a while to get into. I remember playing fifa 08, and first 2 weeks i thought it was the shit-ist, most frustrating game ever. Love it now.

Orite. I didn't realize that was the case. I've only really played it on the 360. Had a little play of it on a PS3, couldn't really see/feel any difference. Maybe it would be noticeable if i played it for a longer period.

Anyone who has played both Fifa and Pro on the system should either admit Fifa is the better game on this occasion, or is such a Pro fanboy that they are not offended by the latest offering.

Saw Pro Evo for a fiver cheaper, but having played the demo, steered well clear.
