I normally quit after a few season too, only stuck this one because it was a challenge on a forum.

You have to choose the 8.0.2 database when you start up a new game.

No, you can edit the database as much as you want and then just choose what database you want to use when you start a new game.

My Football Manager 2008 keeps freezing as I try to set up a new database

I've reinstalled it several times and tried with each update with no luck..

Anybody have any suggestions?

Try going into your hard drive in My Computer and deleting FM Manually from there after uninstalling, that may help.

Is your disc in good condition?

I've tried that...

yes..... disc..... I misplaced it.....

Its worked since it's release, I can't see why it's not working now

im shit at this game...i dont like downloading tactics and usually create one that keeps the game realistic which makes it fun...i dont want to win 5-0 everygame...but for some reason i cant get my tactics right with tottenham...

I'm currently about to start my second season after finishing 5th in the Prem first time round, which I thought was an excellent result. I managed to buy Gareth Bale with the money from selling Steven Warnock
