Can anyone give me some tips:

I am in my first season with United and:
1. I keep losing money every month (below wage budget, haven't spent anything on transfers
2. Carlos won't sign a new contract - wants more than the max I'm allowed to spend on him per week (25k/week)

Suggestions?

Go into the board room, and readjust your budget accordingly. You will lose money with United generally due to the big loan repayments.

I've just started a new game as manager of AFC Bournemouth.

I have no money to spend and a 10 point deduction.

I've just been told the odds of my team winning the league are 5000-1.

On the bright side i've signed Cherno Samba and Jody Morris on free tranfers.

Losing Carlos is fairly unavoidable really, in every FM game I've played he's been offered jobs as a manager for big clubs.

Started a Spurs one on the new update, pre-season was going fantastically well, bought Van Der Vaart and several other quality players. First game away at Reading, Kevin Doyle played like Romario circa 1994 and I lost 3-1, the disc was out of my disc tray and on the floor before it had loaded the next fucking screen. Cheating cunts.

Kevin Doyle is immense in the game, if trained properly he becomes easily one of the best strikers. I had him with Wigan and he was netting me 40 goals a season on average.

I'm starting to pull away at the top, still unbeaten in the league thus far.

I'm afraid we need evidence, otherwise you could just be a serial liar, otherwise known as the Heather Mills Syndrome.

You'll loose money but should make it back as long as you're reasonably successful on the pitch

Tevez will sign a new contract and you can afford it, make sure that when you offer his a new contract his squad role is first team or key player, thats when you can offer big wages

Half way through the season, still unbeaten and cruising towards the title.

Eh? Never had that, there's not much you can do really. If the doesn't want to sign a new contract, he wants a higher role, unlucky.

Well, he wants more than 25k/week and I can't offer more than that.

He usually leaves. Would be better spending time on finding a new assistant.

How's about not being Man United and picking a team that will actually challenge you?

That wasn't what I asked.

I can pick whatever team I want. It is a game....suppose to be fun. That is all.
