Ok I've basically played it a whole day now (well at least half).
Originally i was going to be West Ham (wanted to have a half decent team) But the chairman Eggy wanted me to challenge for the title and he was only going to give me like £1mil to work with. So I went for Sunderland who only wanted to be saved from relegation. Now i added what I thought was a realistic sum of dosh. I think Niall Quinn would give Roy Keane at least £15/20 million to work with so i added that. I sold about half the squad and luckily for me Sunderland have a bunch of players who are all worth mostly (at least) £1mil. I sold Kenwyne Jones for the hefty sum of £5.5 million to REAL MADRID (i pissed myself when i saw who was offering). I brought a whole load of players for free, no real big names but I feel I chose wisely (the team would either work or i'dve been sacked asap). Brought Russias captain Sergey Ignashevic (his name is something like that) He's been my Vidic, very very solid centreback. For my strikers I brought a Guatemalian striker called Carlos Ruiz (£1.2mil) His stats aren't amazing but he's prooved to be a real bargin for me, he's got pace and a good eye for the goal. Also upfront i brought young Danny Haynes (was going to be a prospect/backup) but he's worked his way into the starting 11. I brought Kanu from Pompey with the intention of him starting alongside Ruiz, He's been ok, few goals here and there, but he's pretty inconsistant. My big money buy was Andryi Arshavin (another Russian) from Zenit (i think) for the grand total of £8.8 mil. He's pretty much been my star of the team. He controls the game from Attacking midfield. I've kept Craig Gordan, Danny Higgenbottom, Harte, Richardson (he's been pretty good too) to name a few. Other frees i brought were some argentian 32 year old DMF (can't remember his name but he's been great), Eric Carr(something) French utitlity player) Malcom Christie and Tommy Hoiland (wasn't free but almost, he cost 85k). My first Two EPL games were Liverpool and Chelsea (great way to be introduced to the premiership) And ofcourse I lost both, Gave the scousers a good game but still lost 2-0. I went 1-0 up at stamford bridge in the first few minutes but they soon replied and one of my men got sent off I ended up getting spanked 5-1. I began to start feeling like "what i'm I doing at Sunderland?", but sure enough the signings came through. And i'm about a quarter of a way through the season and am riding high in 6th. I seem to be able to beat the majority of the teams besides the top 4. I'd like to stay around here, Aiming for UEFA cup. Having said that in the last game i got raped 4-1 by portsmouth (had to play a weakened side. I'm having great fun though and have been reminded of what a great game this is. In conclusion I feel that i'm doing a good job with a realistic sum of dosh at Sunderland. I'm aware it could all go down the pan as it is still relatively early in the season. I'll report back at later date. |

I couldn't get a WP for Arshavin.
I got Kyut on a free this season and he has been immense, 19 league goals in 16 league games, we score alot but ship alot at the back, i need a new left back to replace J Lloyd Samuel and a new CB to replace Andrew Davis, Hoyte and Huth are good for me though. I got through my Uefa cup group, finished top, Beat Feyenoord, Braga and Spartak Moscow and drew with Sevilla, its mid December and im 2nd, but only 4 points separate 2nd and 7th. |

I have started a new game with Q.P.R. Won the championship the first season and I'm going to start my first season in the PL today. I have a good squad but i need a new defensive midfielder and a right back. I have bought Luis Jimenez, Alex Teixeira, Rafael Forster and Leó this summer so things are looking pretty good. Does anyone know about a great defensive midfielder i could get?

I had him on another game and he was solid. At the moment i have Matias Almeyda (sp) and he's performing well above his station for my Sunderland team. You should check out young Russians/Serbs also the obvious talent pool that is south america. |

I brought Salador Cabanas (plays for MEX) for £4.4mil in January and he's putting in world class performances. If you're in need for a great striker on the cheap look him up.
I have like 10 games left in the season, And i am 5th pushing for a top four spot (to be honest I am more than happy with a UEFA cup stop). The big shocker is that Newcastle are top at the moment (which is even more sour as it takes away from my performances as manager of Sunderland). I've just signed on a free contract Vagner Love, who will come at the end/beginning of the season. This means i will hopefully flog Kanu and Chopra. I also recommend that you look into signing Tommy Hoiland, I brought him for around 60k and whenever he plays he seems to score (he doesn't get many games) But he is dubbed as "the new ole gunnar solsjkaer". And this seems true as he is my super sub with great shooting acuracy. I'm off to finish the season. Will report back soon. |

Just finished first season at charge of Sunderland. Finished 3rd, i was pretty chuffed. If it wasn't for a lose at Spurs I may have even of been able to win the league.
Lost 2-2 (7-8 on pens) to chelsea in the FA cup final. Bring on the new season!. Utd won the league which was good, SAF got manager of the year where I came 2nd. No complaints. |

Won the Premiership last year with Kettering, won the F.A. cup the year before that and the League cup the year before that. Currently in 2014 I think, top of the Premiership, in the knock out stages of the European Cup and still in the F.A. and League Cup, on for the quadruple.
New 25k stadium will be finished at the end of the year too, about time, been waiting 2 years for it to be built, and its much better than my current 6k stadium 4k standing World Class training facilities and one off world class youth facilities. Not doing bad. ![]() |

For any mid-table side I really urge you to go for Alex De Souza of Fenerbahce. Hes 29yrs old and will probably set you back £8million, but he has been absolutely world class for my Aston Villa team, scored 20 goals with many more assists and came second to Ronaldo in premiership player of the year.
Has bloody good stats too. |

Right just got this game. I usually start as United but this time i decided against it. See if i could work my way up. Im playing as West Brom and i cant keep the ball out of my net. Getting right on my nerves. I am 4th in the league 10 points off top and i cannot keep a clean sheet.
Any ideas of formations that would help? Or any players i could sign to 1. Keep it out of my net and 2. Get the ball in the other net. Got Campbell on loan and he seems decent enough. Got a tranfer budget of 3 million so cant break the bank. |

Make sure you play an AM/FC behind the striker with pace, that shouldnt be too difficult to find. As for the defence - well try and loan out Alexandre Song from Arsenal - seems to play alright on the back. Really the tactic is for Championship teams is to loan players from the reserve teams of the big premiership sides, while looking out for free transfers. |

I've got the same damn chairman I started with and he hasnt put a penny into the club. Ive spent 50 million net on transfers throughout the game and 30 million of it was in the summer. Although when I was in the Championship the chairman did try to build a new stadium but planning permission was denied, so I had to wait another 2 years. The club even had to get a 30 million loan to finance this 25k stadium coming.
