Its good they've gone into such detail with the whole life of the city. The last game was basically an upgraded one of the previous unlike each of the others that added a new dimension to it.

Can't wait for it but I've not pre-ordered it so I'll be getting it a week after or something.

Cannot wait for this game, these two weeks better pass soon. Play.com have even made GTA IV its own tab at the top. HOME GTAIV DVD MUSIC GAMES ect....

Thanks for the heads up but I did actually try that a week ago and they wasn't accepting my card (dunno why it works fine everywhere else) so I gave up.

They are still taking them but I'm sceptical whether they actually have stock for the release date when everybody else has ran out. They'll probably ring up nearer the time and say they will deliver it a few days later than the 29th as that's what everyone else are saying because that's when they'll get the new stock. They've done it before to me with another product.

I'm not too fussed it will stay around the same price I reckon so I'll just get it on the day or the few days after release.

OPM UK Review Arrives

Official PlayStation Magazine (UK) is the latest magazine to review Grand Theft Auto IV, after being granted special access to play the game for several days last month. The review contains the same screenshots that were in OXM's review (plus a couple of new ones) and the final score given by OPM is also the same - an impressive 10 out of 10.
Here are some of the main points from the review worth mentioning (spoilers ahead):

One of the reasons Niko goes to Liberty City is to track down the man who betrayed his old army unit.

Cars no longer catch fire at the slightest provocation.
There are several points at which you make life or death decisions between key cast members.

Comedy clubs feature real comedians.
"Michelle" is the first girl that Niko hooks up with.
Dimitiri Rascalov is Mikhail Faustin's right hand man.
"Other uses of the phone on missions include calling a target to make him come to the window and into Niko's sniper sight."
There is a museum called the Libertonian museum, which features dinosaur fossils and exploding vases. Environments such as these have been created specifically for shootouts, so there's plenty of cover.

"5 min install" for PS3 GTA IV

If you're looking for something to moan about this morning, here it is; the PlayStation 3 version of GTA IV features a five minute mandatory install.

1UP writer posted about the install on the NeoGAF forum, after playing the PS3 version at Rockstar's iron fortress.

Five minutes isn't nearly as bad as 22, but it's still been enough to send the internet barmy on the forums. We can't see what the fuss is about, personally. Doesn't every PS3 game feature an install these days?

As for the Xbox 360 version, there are also rumours this morning that that version will feature an "optional" hard drive install, although that's still very much unconfirmed.

We're currently awaiting reply from the lovely chaps at Rockstar about the hard drive controversy, and will let you know what it has to say.
