No free roaming was a bit shit but bar that everything else worked really well I hardly any trouble with the aiming system

I've never been a huge fan, I think they are still too limited in terms of consequences for all the fun you can have.

I will be getting it in a few weeks time though, after all the claims of "it's the bestest game evaaRRR!!!!!" have died down.

Some people on there know their stuff, but generally I wouldn't trust any forum like that to get fanboy claims from. Everyone has their own opinion on what version will look better, but truth be told if it wasn't blatantly pointed out about the light differences (for example) most people wouldn't even notice.

Usually the case. PS3 games are often more expensive than the same game on 360.

There's not much excuse for that. Some are using the price difference to push up the cost of the 360 version too.

I'll tip people off though, I know local Asda's have stocks left over and are selling the 360 version for £37. I'm still not tempted yet though.

If that's true, it wouldn't surprise me. Rockstar are one of the few developers to try to get things identical and looking good, and the PS3 version was over-developed to that end.

I'd be very surprised if it actually pushes either machine to it's limits, in fact it put money on it not.

I know I'm jumping ahead abit here but have they started on the next one yet do we know what its about. As soon as a game gets released they start talking about the next one.

They'll more than likely start working on a new GTA within the next few months.

It will probably be released on the new generation of consoles. I doubt we'll see another GTA on the PS3/360

I find that hard to believe. They released three titles for the previous generation of consoles. GTA III (2001), Vice City (2002), & San Andreas (2004).
