I meant the splinter cell series. You said in another post you've only really played some of the first.

No I have only ever played the first. From what I have heard it went pretty much downhill from there. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but MGS beat it in every department.

The new one is a 360 exclusive anyway, so I won't be playing it whatever happens.

They have mostly got better and better really, although the latest kind of went backwards in my opinion (again dumbed down a tad for the latest consoles, which is ironic because it always was a console game).

You should eventually get a 360, otherwise you are missing out on a lot.

tis true

the only element I would have taken from Forza so far from my GT5 experience is the punishment for touching walls/going off course etc

apart from that GT5 is pretty much a perfect driving sim

What is the PS3 like for steering wheels? The only decent one on the 360 is the official one (which is awesome and well worth the £65), even Logitech's effort was shit.

I was going to the other week, but the majority of games I will be buying over the coming months will be for the PS3 and PSP, so I thought what's the point. The only game that might persuade me to pick up a 360 is GOW2 in November, other than that non of the 360 exclusives interest me.

There's a load of top games on it, and most are cheaper and identical (if not slightly better) than the PS3 versions.

It's worth while eventually, best of both worlds then. That being said, I'm an addict. My 360 games count is 16 after only three weeks, and I've just sorted out my Wii games and I didn't realise how many I have and how many I've yet to even play properly!

Of its frame buffer? Only know that for sure once it is released. I'd expect 1280x720.

Apparently....

The loading times are slightly quicker on the 360 (Most of the loading is done before game-play starts, there are rarely ANY loading in-game)

The colour pallet is looks more realistic on the PS3, the 360 has a slight cartoon feel as the colours are brighter.

The PS3 version needs to be installed on the HD. The 360 version is optional, though it is recommended to stomp out any glitches in frame rates.

Split-screen is only available on the PS3.

no, I didn't. most of the games I had seen for X-box didn't even support 720p so I drew my conclusions from that. Figured 720 was the max it wouldsupport.
