What forum should it have ended up in?

O and they've been turning into the Jonas Brothers for a long time now. Their hissy fit at Reading Festival sort of capped it.

It all went pear shaped when they toured with u2 and decided that was the type of music they aspired to.

Yep playing in front of 70,000 each night and seeing Bono walk away with a $1 million a show might do that to you.

* I have no idea what Bono earns a show but ONE MILLION DOLLARS sounded good

Seen them twice.

The difference between the first and second time was ridiculous. The second time they just had no life/energy. Amazing how a band can lose so much in such a short time.

A mate of mine said the same thing after he saw them in Abu Dhabi before the Grand Prix. Was the most disappointing concert he's been to he said.

Their second album (Aha Shake Heartbreak) is the best, then the third one. I actually enjoy their music.

They kinda do in a way. The general public will buy any old crap nowadays. Look at the Christmas number 1, there had to be a massive campaign set up just to stop an incredibly shite song reaching number 1. The general public are retarded when it comes to music, and Kings Of Leons earlier stuff was much better imo.

You know, I quite like their current album. I know it's sort of generic and whingy, but I just find it quite listenable to be honest.

My ma considers this some sort of betrayal though - whenever she hears any of their current stuff she calls them a bunch of whiny bastards and points out that they were better back when "they wore singlets all the time and you could tell that they'd beaten their wives just before coming onstage"

Velvet underground and the pixies were shit though. The pixies made one good song then repeated it ad ifinitum. I love music snobs, it's either their way or nothing. Kings of Leons latest album is well produced and you can actually hear their lyrics for once. Just because its not as raw as before doesn't make it their worst album. Get over yourselves.

Sorry, but you can't accuse Velvet Underground of being shit and then expect anyone to take you seriously, about anything.

Yes i can, its very easy as it winds up people who take these things far too seriously. They also did a lot of shitty trippy hippy bollocks that some people make out were genius.
