Are the Kooks the most boring band ever?

Anybody hear them on Radio 1 earlier?

They replied with grunts or "yeah" for every question.

Their music is dreadful.

I'd like to punch the lead singer.

Hitler's more likeable than them.

Scouting for girls give them a run for their money though

I haven't heard any studio stuff but Kings of Leon were the most boring live band i've ever heard and seen.

I'll check out these 'Kooks'

Don't get me started on the Kooks liver performances ffs, I saw them with a girl I was seeing just after their first single came out.

I left early, never done that for a concert before.

I just listened to Ooh La.

It is as you first feared LK, they are the most boring band ever. I don't even have to listen to more. I've forseen the rest is just as boring.

Kings of Leon are brilliant mate. Everyone I know who has seen them live thought they were great too.

edit: yeah the kooks are boring but then I find most new indie or rock bands are.

I'd like to shoot them out of a cannonball into a giant beaker filled with 3422mol dm3 of Sulphuric Acid and sharks (who were specificially designed to survive in a ridiculously acidic environment).

Me too!

This will be the 4th time I've seen them and every time they have been spot on. The latest album is finally growing on me too now it has taken a while though.

Maybe it was an off performance but they just looked and sounded dreadful. I'll 'acquire' one of their albums. Any reccomendations?

Their second album 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' is the best in my opinion, but as Decotron said, you wont regret listening to the progression between all 3 of their albums.

No, I'm sure if he had listened to anything on their second album that would have been worse. I liked a couple of songs on their first album but all the new stuff is shite.

I don't know about Kings of Leon lads.

I've listened to a good 5 or 6 songs and they seem to have the same bass and drum beat in every song.

Id go for that album personally as well. Although the live version (obviously) at Glastonbury of "on call" was fucking amazing, I was extremely rubbered listening to it and just kept turning it up and up until I got an angry knock on the wall!

I think they try to appear all ingenius and mystical by doing nothing on stage.

And according to most people you listen to talk about them, it works.

I often wonder with bands like these if their fans are just basically made up of people who buy the NME every week and just listen to what those cunts tell them to listen to.

Was it Noel Gallagher who said that all bands today look like poncy students?

The Kooks are a prime example of this.
