Last of the Shadow Puppets
I am creating this thread in the name of franco, he today reminded me of this album and so I have downloaded earlier and have listened twice so far.
It's fecking brilliant. If you aren't aware who these are it's Arctic Monkeys lead singer Alex Turner and lead singer of newly formed The Rascals, Miles Kane with James Ford producing and playing drums. I am so far loving it, it's almost like listening to a soundtrack to a Bond film, that's the kind of vibe it gives. Just listen, it's definitely a 4/5 star album. |

I'm starting to think Alex Turner is quite the special talent indeed. |

Without wishing to sound pedantic they are actually called the last shadow puppets! Yeah the album is quailty though. The first couple of times I listened I didn't like it at all. I thought it sounded like a bunch of dodgy coral b-sides but the more I listened the more I grew to like it. I love all that kind of over the top orchestral stuff though. Give me a bit of the Walker Brothers anyday!
