Good, so there's still one more to be revealed

He was on the plane though, albeit in Claires womb, and he is technically a survivor of the crash.

They revealed in the sneak peak with Ben saying Micheal is his man on the boat.

Also the alternate reality theory has been brushed aside by the writers as well. They specifically added that Pilot scene when he says the pilot in the ruins of the aeroplane is not the real pilot.

Never noticed until Heroes that the Pilot that got killed by the smoke monster was Greg Grunberg AKA Matt Parkman in Heroes

Maybe he has to work as bens man on the ship to ensure Walts safety off the island, i dunno. Maybe he knows something we dont and ben isnt all that evil...
