Possibly, the smoke cant leave the island. But we dont know that. Besides, if you watch when the black guy leaves the room it almost looks like a black smoke he leaves behind. Its just his shadow, but it does suggest it could be the black smoke monster. |

Spoilers******************************* It's Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and Jin. Plus Desmond may make it off and won't be counted among Oceanic 6. This season is all about reaching the point when Oceanic 6 decide to go back. Ofcourse also show how they got made it off. Next would be about how they again reach the island and what's going on with people left there in the mean time. The last will be resolution. |

Sayid, Sun-jin and Kate all have their flash forwards coming up so they definitely make it off. Another person outside of Oceanic 6 is supposed to have made it as well, could be Desmond or Juliet or even Ben I think. There is another big spoiler about last episode of the season. |

[quote=crappycraperson;4149897]It's from reliable sources. Same one who correctly predicted deaths before and the flash forward thing last season.

Brilliant episode. Much better than last week... John Locke is easily the best character on TV. I don't like any of the new people though, they're all gimps. Hope Locke kills them all soon.
Its blatant that John Locke is gonna blow that chopper up. Because John locke will fuck your shit up. http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/John_Locke ![]() Just read this, and it's similar to what I was thinking: "The 815 survivors have rifles and guns. The 815 survivors have a camp, a really weird agenda (some of them anyway), and about half of them have no desire to leave the island. Sound a little familiar? You bet. Our beloved 815’ers have come full circle. They’ve executed their own purge, but the Others aren’t truly gone: the 815’ers have become the Others – without even knowing how." |

![]() That kind of explains it all. Basically, when the plane crashed in 2004, to the real world it appeared that it was in the ocean and everyone was dead etc. However, the plane actually crashed on the island and was sent back in time to the year 2000. The button pushing keeps the island in its own timeloop i.e. time is frozen within that 108 minute stretch. When Desmond hits the failsafe, the year on the island is 2000 as is now the year in the real world (see new timeline). The island is also therefore visible to the outside world, hence Naomi is able to locate it. As everyone was supposed to die in the plane crash in 2004, fate has a way of 'course correcting.' So the 6 that get off the island will eventually die before September 22nd, 2004 in the new timeline. Hence when we see at the end of season 3, Jack is at a funeral who we assume to be Sawyer's because of Kate's reaction. The island will also be destroyed because in the original timeline, the plane crashed in the middle of the ocean where no island existed, so fate's course correction will lead to the island's destruction. Least that's how I understand it ![]() |
