NeuView Media Player

Just discovered this brilliant piece of software. It is much better than WMP or any other software for that matter for viewing movies and the like. The quality difference is very noticeable.

This is the website: http://www.neuviewed.com/neuview6/ge...me/index#title

I've got a rapidshare link from warez-bb.org too, am I allowed to post it?

Is it better than VLC?

And looking at it, it says it has pixelfusion technology. You can download that as a plugin for WMP.

As a test for myself, I compared VLC and NeuView side by side. NeuView won hands down.

Not as far as I know, I only downloaded the software about 15 minutes ago. As a quality comparison:

Doesn't it play Xvids?

Just tried three movies and each one came back with an Xvid error, and wouldn't show the picture, just sound.

As in .avi files or .xvid files? My screenshot is of an .avi file, however it should play xvid files because it's listed in its file associations.

Bog standard avi's, same ones I've been playing regulary on VLC.

I've only tried to play 3 movies, and none of them have played and all come back with a message saying Error: Xvid Codec.

Strange I'm assuming you have that Kazaa Lite Codec pack or something along those lines?

Only thing I can think of is that you might not have cracked it properly, but I'm pretty sure you know what you're doing.

Never mind, got it working, installed a different codec pack.

This is where VLC wins out, no codecs are needed and it plays absolutely everything out there.

As for the picture enhancement, I shall reserve judgement on further testing, on the first try I am not overly impressed tbh, made the picture more noticably pixelated, although it improved the contrast slightly, which could be adjusted manually anyway.

Hmmmm.

The quality is in the codecs and the encode, not the player, unless it has its own codecs, but even then, you are still limited by the quality of the encode. The player could have post processing filters I suppose.

Really, I don't think I've had one fail, and I download a lot of movies.

I just downloaded this, and I've now uninstalled it.
It didn't impress me, way too sharpened/crisp.

On further trials I agree with Top.

I will be sticking with VLC for now.

Thanks for the link though 101.
